We are only a few months away from the launch of the next avatar Fire and ASH. In other words, it is time to prepare for the return of the most tired and unpleasant pop culture discourse. Every time James Cameron's science fiction epic returns to the news, many people feel the need to present to the world that they don't like or not interested in avatars.
What is this phenomenon? How often do people don't think that avatars are bad? I'm sure there are many people who don't like Star Wars or Marvel movies, but I don't always have to tell everyone. But every time the avatar comes, someone can mention that A) A) there is no continuous cultural impact, b) impressive, but ultimately shallow and boring. Then they refer to some combinations of Ferngully, Pocahontas and Wolves and Dance, and take you as the first person to joke, not one billion. Unobtanium is a foolish name. Is it right?
I will not start a paper about why the highest profit is good. In fact (I have written a lot about the subject if you are too inclined), I should point out that the highest profitable film does not have a cultural impact. I return to the big screen and sell the theater and ask, and I ask:
See Avatar: How to see this weekend
In December 2023, The Way of Water is about to be the third avatar, Fire and ASH, which is returning to the theater. For just one week, you can see the sequel to the avatar as the intention of God: wonderful IMAX 3D.
I was hallucinated. I have been able to see the water again a few times in the last few years, but nothing is as good as seeing it on IMAX. When the film was deeply immersed in the theme of preservation, imperialism and identity, it turned out to be worth waiting for a long time. Looking back on a big screen is an opportunity I will not miss it, and I am not.
Obviously, many people feel the same way for the release again. While booking a ticket this weekend, I found that most of the screenings are already filled with most of the screenings in my region. Living in southern California, there is no shortage of theaters. We have more IMAX theaters than anywhere in the world. This weekend, there are seven IMAX theaters within 7 minutes within 30 minutes, and almost all performances have already been sold out.
People like avatars even if they do not admit their avatars.
Endgame was able to rank second in water during the last re -heating, but Avatar 2 is likely to return this week. The audience wants to see this two -year -old movie because it is a good movie despite what people on the Internet say.
If you don't agree, please give me another opportunity this weekend. Originally, over -advertising, conspiracy, and divorced methods surrounding the release are an opportunity to see a movie with fresh eyes. You can see that more things are attached to you than you thought. And as the world continues to be uncontrolled, some of the messaging two years ago can be more resonant. And if you are not, it's okay. There are many movies I think I like.
I won't claim that the way of water is a perfect movie, and I think there's a valid criticism. But it suggests that the purely derived eye candy can laugh. If that's true, why will the screening continue to be sold out in the years? Despite the words on the Internet, something about the avatar means something for people.
