Who is ready for adults to be ashamed of the Pokemon community in other world -famous museums? me! The Pokemon riots of the Van Gogg Museum, which no one demanded even if it sounds like a sequel to Ben Steeler, was one of the most embarrassing things I witnessed in the history of noticeable collection and went to San Diego Comic Con. This week, Pokémon announced another museum partnership with the London Natural History Museum. Starting January next year, the gift shop of the museum will be transformed into a pop -up Pokemon store full of clothing, stationery and exclusive sewing.
Since the collector does not expect to do better, I hope the Pokemon company will take better measures. The mention of museum monopoly trembles under my spine, and I'm amazed at the fact that other museums are opening on such a fascinating fanbase after what happened in Amsterdam. Anyone who wants to visit the London Museum during the promotion begins begging.
The Pokemon pop -up shop at the London History Museum is afraid of me.
The upcoming museum cooperation was announced earlier this week on the Pokemon website. From January 26 to March 22, next year, the gift shop of the London Natural History Museum will be a stab shop filled with sweet, sweet and exclusive commodities.
Finally, the situation was not so good when Pokemon had a partner relationship with the museum. To celebrate the 50th anniversary, Amsterdam's Van Gogh Museum worked with Pokemon to sell play mats, deck boxes and other Pokemon products inspired by Van Gogh's most famous works. The promotion included this promotion for participants who have completed the cleaner hunting activity in the Piccus, which includes a free promotion card, a gray felt hat, and a museum. I am convinced that everyone involved in this is the best intention, but the lack of awareness of how bad plans and obvious Pokemon fans (and resellers) can lead to dangerous chaos.
On the first day of the promotion, this light event, designed to inspire children to be interested in art, immediately changed to a black friday style. The crush of people who entered the gift shop and tried to enter the security card could not be controlled too much, so the museum immediately pulled out the promotional card from the store to find another means of distributing Pokemon. As we knew later, several employees were fired as illegal acts during the event, and at least one person embezzled the promotion card. It was not a good look for others, two years later, another museum opened the door of potential Poke-Mayhem.
Pokemon seems to have learned from the Van Gogh Depace.
VAN GOGH promotions have a few differences, and this time we hope that the situation will be better. Best of all, it doesn't seem to have a free promotion card. This helps to reduce the chaos a lot, but it's not completely. We will still be residential to shirts and water bottles, but at least we do not have to worry about embezzlement or evil in a wicked way. Nevertheless, if you finally tried to buy a Pokemon card at a department store, I do not know.
There is a monopoly sewing, but people don't seem to fight each other. It is a pikachu next to the museum, and Toy Hanks reminds me of the best scene when Toy Hanks asks the CEO of a toy company, “What is interesting about the building?”
To access the gift shop, you need to get a free ticket online in advance. Hopefully, this means that the museum controls the crowd and the museum's age is not destroyed by those who are there for the product.
I do not think that this cooperation is essentially wrong. In fact, it's a good idea to help Pokemon promotes the museum. But Pokemon's desolate fandom is a double -edged sword, and I don't like places like Van Gogh Museum to be a casualty of that passion. We all have some lessons at this event, and I hope that the London popup will be able to set a better example next year.
