As always, amiibo does not. only For the sake of the show (even though we'll all end up using it that way), the Air Riders have their own roles to play and can be used for other non-Kirby characters as well. Let's get into it.
Which Amiibo are functional?
If you want to make the most of Kirby Air Riders' amiibo features, You'll want new amiibo released specifically for the game. They are larger than other amiibo and can even swap machines if you have more than one. As of the time of writing, You can only use two Air Riders amiibo.But we already know more information and when we can expect it.

How do Amiibo work?
The latest Super Smash Bros. If you've played the game, you're probably familiar with how amiibo work in Kirby Air Riders. When you scan one of the Air Riders amiibo into the game, Once trained, you will create a Figure Player (FP) who will gain FP levels and mechanical proficiency.It's like Figure Players from Smash.
The rider and machine combos you create will be saved, but if you purchase another machine and want to keep the rider you leveled up, simply place that machine on the machine you want to replace with the new combo.
The more you race with FP, the higher your level will be. To compete with amiibo jWhen you scan it while in setup mode, it becomes an Active amiibo.. Besides getting a nice picture for the main menu, that's it, but that's not all. only amiibo that works with Air Riders.
If you scan another amiibo you own (it doesn't have to be Kirby), you'll also receive a reward. My Smash Mario amiibo and Donkey Kong Bananza amiibo just gave me gold and decals.But my original is Smash Kirby actually unlocked alternate colors and license card themes for Kirby.So it seems like the Kirby series has some unique rewards, or at least something you can unlock early on.
