How to make a repair kit in Hytale
Repair kits are craftable consumables that can be crafted at a workbench. To craft you will need:
- 2 pieces of linen
- 1 iron ingot
- 1 light leather
Although the process is simple, obtaining these materials can be time consuming. Iron ingots are made by smelting iron ore in a furnace, and light leather is made by drying leather in a tannery.
Of these three, the material that takes the most time to remove is linen scraps. As far as we know, these cannot be crafted, and to obtain them you must find and defeat humanoid enemies such as skeletons or trollks. You can find them in camps scattered throughout the map, and can be found rather easily by opening the map and searching for the camps there..
The good thing about this camp is that the monsters within it respawn over time.. If you run out of linen pieces at any time, you can raid the camp again.
Use a repair kit
Go to Workbench and select the Tools tab. In the first box you will find a repair kit icon. Now to use the repair kit hightailAfter attaching it to the hotbar, right-click.. A window will appear containing all the items your individual can repair. When you select the item you want to repair, a repair kit will be consumed.
But there is just one thing. Using a repair kit reduces the item's maximum durability by 10%.. If you repair the same item over and over again with a repair kit, it may eventually become permanently damaged. There is currently no known way to fix this problem (other than using hightail mods), but we will let you know if this changes.
In the meantime, you'll want to make several copies of equipment you'll use regularly, especially tools. Save repair kits for equipment that takes a long time to break, like armor or weapons.
