Symboli Rudolf is rightfully known as the emperor in Umamusume: Pretty Derby. Her racing ability is top-notch, due to her well-balanced stats and aptitudes. If you have just started playing, she is an excellent character to help you gain victories without too much investment.
Umamusume: Pretty Derby – Best Gold Ship Build
She’s gold for a reason.
You can improve her existing skills and aptitudes using the legacies, but you should focus on her strong points the most. Building her as a Pace Chaser will easily help her gain victory. Using the right skills and support cards will also help Symboli Rudolf easily clear Ura Finale in career mode.
Updated December 28, 2025 by Zoë J. Osik: We’ve updated our guide to include a complete breakdown of the career and ambitions of the almighty Symboli Rudolf, so you can make a powerful legacy runner to inspire your future Uma campaigns.
How To Play Symboli Rudolf

Late (A) |

Front (B) |
Symboli Rudolf has a good balance of stats, so you can quickly get her working as a beginner; you will want to primarily run her as a Pace Chaser or a Late Runner, with the latter requiring more Power. If you are new to the game, getting the right stats for Pace chasing is much easier.
She can also perform as a Front Runner and an End Closer, if you can get her to the right aptitudes using your legacies, but it’s not generally recommended. End Closing is slightly harder than Front Running.
She has good proficiency in Long and Medium races, so Symboli Rudolf will easily top these. Her stats in Mile distance are decent, but if you manage to increase your Speed greatly, she will perform better in these races as well.
We recommend completely avoiding Sprint tracks unless you have amazing Speed numbers and a better aptitude. Symboli Rudolf has a 20 percent growth rate in Stamina, and ten percent in Guts; both of these stats are crucial for Pace and Late positions, so we recommend focusing on these stats the most during your career run.
Symboli Rudolf is also weak at Dirt tracks, so go only for Turf for additional races.

Her best build, which is Pace Chaser, needs a lot of stamina, so you should get it as high as possible; this should let Symboli Rudolf stay closer to the Front Runners. Near the end of the race, when they are at their limits, Symboli Rudolf will truly shine and win the race in style. Wit helps her activate her skills, which Symboli Rudolf will rely on to recover her stamina and increase speed.
Speed is important, especially if you are running in shorter tracks, where there is little room for Front Runners to tire themselves out, and you can compromise on Power slightly if your Speed is higher. Power will help you rush through other racers, which works well with Rudolf’s unique skill, which increases her speed if you cross other racers.
For a Late build, you need about 50-100 more power to run through the crowd, and you can slightly compromise on Stamina and Speed instead.
Guts will automatically increase when you focus on Stamina during her training, so you won’t need to reserve your training days that much to increase it. For the most part, we got the best stats by training Stamina and Power mostly, and getting Speed through the Support cards, and higher Guts will sustain her in case she starts to lose her stamina in longer races.
Depending on the Support cards you own, you should focus on different training schedules.
Legacy Recommendation
Before you start her career, we recommend getting legacies to increase Power and Stamina stats. You can do that by getting inspiration from other Pace Chasers such as Rice Shower, Special Week, and Oguri Cap.
They will give you the required sparks in stats, and their unique skills also synergize well with Symboli Rudolf. Blue Rose Closer and Shooting Star help you surpass other racers by increasing your velocity.
Symboli Rudolf Best Skills
You should focus on skills that help her gain maximum speed and stamina. A lot of the skills you need will focus on recovering endurance, which she can put to good use near the end.
|
Skill |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Subdued Late Surgers |
This will slow down Late Surgers, so Symboli won’t fall behind them when they start catching up. |
|
Hydrate |
This recovers Symboli’s stamina, so she can give it all during the final spurt. |
|
Iron Will |
If there are too many Front Runners or Pace Chasers ahead of Symboli Rudolf, she will recover some Stamina. |
|
Hesitant Pace Chasers |
The Pace Chasers are slowed down, which gives Rudolf an advantage, especially if you are using her as a Front Runner. |
|
Shooting Star |
This is Special Week’s unique skill, which you can acquire through legacy. It helps her increase her speed to pass through other racers. |
Symboli Rudolf Best Support Cards
For Symboli Rudolf, we recommend cards that will help her increase Speed more. Power and Stamina can be increased easily through Legacy and training. However, the right cards also depend on the stat deficits that you are trying to cover.
|

|

This card helps you gain stats through bonuses and also includes skills that help Symboli Rudolf when there is a rush of racers around her. |
|
