One weapon you may miss is a very powerful early-game bow called the Golden-Knoted Ancestral Bow. Found north of the Silver Wolf Mountains, this bow can be obtained immediately if you are willing to travel long distances. Here's how to get this bow and whether it's worth the trouble.

To find the ancestral bow with the golden knot, You should head to Pailune, north of Hernand. Continue north from Pailune through the Silver Wolf Mountains until you reach the location shown in the photo above. In this forest there is a rectangular hole with a ladder leading to a hidden underground crypt.
This can be a bit tricky to find as it blends in with the rest of the forest. So when you reach this area, take your time and look for the small wooden clearing where the entrance is. Additionally, there are bears roaming these forests, which can be fatal if you are underequipped. If you find this bow, it is best not to engage if you are trying to catch it in the early stages.
Once you find the entrance, climb down the ladder and stick to the right side of the room as you enter the first room. If you get too close, the center of the floor will collapse and you will fall into the lava pool below. Follow the path down the long stairs and wait by the door until it opens.
The next room has a row of chainsaws that you need to get past. Wait until the saw passes through the center, then sprint to the other end of the platform. Once you reach the end, don't jump onto the pillar. But be careful because a large brazier has fallen from the ceiling and is hanging in front of a pillar. The furnace will start rocking back and forth after a few seconds, so wait until you pass through it and then perform a precision jump to the next pillar.
It's a good idea to aim for the part closest to the pillar to avoid propelling yourself forward and falling into the spike trap below. Keep repeating this jump across the four pillars until you reach the end. Now jump and use your power palm ability to perform a double jump or climb up one of the side pillars to reach the raised area above. When you arrive, the door will open and you'll find the Golden Knot Ancestral Bow on the altar inside.
As for the Golden Knot Ancestral Bow itself, this weapon starts at refinement level 3 with a base attack power of 19. It also boasts a critical rate of 1 and has 5 Abyss Gear slots. That slot has Attack 2, Critical Rate 1, and Health Siphon Level 1. This makes it a great bow as its mix of Abyss Gear slots, damage and passive bonuses make it quite powerful if you decide to invest heavily in bow related skills.
