How to get Mugwort, Wilt, and Molted Rubber Bark in MH Stories 3

How to display material locations on a map

To start Eleanor's side story: MH Story 3She'll ask you to scour the surrounding area with your telescope to pin down the ingredients needed for the recipe. There are several locations with exclamation points, but you only need to find three of them.

Laundry bug location

The first location is the island to the left of the castle. This is where you go to find Sucklebugs. Once you are free to explore, swim or fly to the island and use the monsters to kill you. Attack the big rock with the blue gem One of them stuck out. You can get it as soon as the Sucklebugs are destroyed.

Paorumu location (molted rubber shell)

The second location to mark on the map is the cliffs on the left where a Paolumu colony is known to be located. Once you are free to explore, go to the yellow circle on the map and Find Paorumu.

You don't actually have to engage in combat to get the molted rubber shell. only Switch your current Monstie to Rathalos and use its Breath attack to shoot fireballs.. If done correctly, materials will drop from monsters.

Wither plant location

The third and final location is next to the riverbank (you can see it by continuing to turn your telescope to the left past the Paolumu cliffs). Once you leave the telescope, go to the point marked on the map and you will find a glowing blue item next to a cliff.

How to Complete Chapter 1 of Eleanor's Side Story (and Rewards)

Once you've found the ingredients, head to a nearby camp and a cutscene will automatically begin, ending the quest. You'll get to know Eleanor a little more and she'll cook you her specialty, Vermeilian Dumplings (yum)! You can also get the recipe for Eleanor's Cooking Note 1.
