If you can't find a Pokémon on the minimap, open the Pokedex and hover your cursor over the Pokémon you want to find. Next, press the + button on the right Joy-Con and select Yes. If you then talk to another Pokémon you've befriended, they'll ask you if you're looking for someone, and if you select yes again, they'll usually face in the direction of the Pokémon they're looking for. You can approach a Pokémon straight away by walking in a straight line in that direction, but if you're having trouble locating its exact location when you start getting closer, you can always stop and ask another Pokémon.

  3. Talk to other Pokemon and select “Yes”.

  4. Walk in the direction they turn and face.

  5. If it leads you to the missing Pokémon's home, use some honey there to make the Pokémon appear.

Sometimes, if the Pokémon you're looking for has temporarily left the area, you'll need to go to their home and use the honey you can find in the flower garden. It's okay if you don't remember where your Pokemon's home is. Because once again you can use the search function.
