How to Easily Destroy the Leaper (Bison) in ARC Raiders

The Leaper, formerly known as the Bison, is one of the larger ARC machines roaming the Rust Belt. ARC Raiders. One of its lethal attacks involves jumping from a great distance and delivering a crushing blow to the player, often knocking them down in one hit. The player must eventually defeat the Leaper and take the Leaper Pulse Unit from his body for crafting purposes, completing the Into the Fray quest. Here's how to easily destroy the Leaper and retrieve its parts.

Where to find Bison in ARC Raiders (Into the Fray)

Dam Battlegrounds is the most player-friendly map, and the two confirmed locations will always spawn a Leaper. ARC Raiders. One of the locations is just to the east. You can use your off-hand weapon in conjunction with your primary weapon as long as it can deal mid-to-long range damage. Arpeggio is my personal choice in this category, but feel free to choose whichever weapon you are more comfortable with. Having Hullcracker makes it much easier to take down the Leaper.

Blaze Grenade

You must have at least 3 Blaze Grenades in your inventory. The easy method introduced in the next section depends on this. Players can find the Blaze while looting, or craft it at a level 3 Explosives Station using 1 Explosive Compound and 2 Oil (blueprint required).

How to get the Leaper Pulse device in ARC Raiders (the easy/cheesy way)

Reaper ARC Raiders

If you spot a leaper (bison) wandering through one of these areas, you should: Find a safe place first before starting an attack. For example, if the Leaper spawns near the Hydroponic Dome Complex, it may be located inside the Domes entrance, and if you fight the Leaper there, it may be located inside the Field Depot near the water treatment elevator.

Hide in a safe place from the Leaper in Leaper ARC Raiders

If there are other ARC drones in the area, such as Wasps or Wasps, take them out first before engaging the Leaper. ARC Raiders.

Once you've found a hiding place, shoot the Leaper in the eye with a heavy ammo compatible weapon like the Ferro or Anvil. This will lure the Leaper to where you are, but it won't be able to enter smaller spaces, so you'll be safe inside your hiding place.

Throw a blaze grenade at the Leaper ARC Raiders.

Then start the fight Throw a blade grenade at the Reaper's eyes. It starts baking. While the fire is burning, continue shooting its eyes with your weapon. When a blaze grenade goes out, you can throw another grenade and burn it. Blaze grenades are very effective against Reapers as flame is their main weakness.

The Leaper may attempt to retreat during combat, so you can pursue it while remaining alert. Jump and EMP surge attacks. After shooting enough bullets (including heavy weapon ammo) into the Leaper's eyes while burning, it will eventually be destroyed.

Obtaining the Leaper Pulse Device from ARC Raiders

After defeating the Leaper, try looting the destroyed eye section first. Get the Reaper Pulse Unit to ARC Raiders. Store immediately in safety pouch. If something bad happens to the raiders during extraction, you don't have to worry about not being able to return to Speranza. You can now use it as a crafting component or complete the Into the Fray quest in: ARC Raiders.
