I'm not going to have journalists copy Helldivers 2's unique and compelling dystopian dialogue and think we're being clever. Because we're so witty, we do that in the first line too. I will tell you the bad news as I see it. The mission failed.
If so, it's official. Helldivers 2's biggest battle brought losses to democracy and a “strategic contraction phase” to regroup and “prepare for the inevitable and unjust counterattack from the living threat of socialism.” Remember. That's not what I'm doing. I'm not trying to be cocky. I'm reading the script here and the Helldivers 2 script is nothing if not cheek incarnate.

A sad transmission begins: “The liberation of Cyberstan has failed.” “The cyborg's secret, subhuman betrayal has once again returned to steal peace from the citizens of Super-Earth. The threat of the socialist planet-destroyer remains active. This is a grotesque travesty of justice.” You get the picture.
But don't get me wrong. You died for a cause.

For example, Twitter user Rich8606 wants to know where approximately 210 million helldivers died. Because, in their opinion, those numbers do not mean loss. @PeregrineStrike's outlook is bleak.
The top comment on the send post says the results were “rigged,” something that was complained about repeatedly last season. We don't take all of this lightly, but instead we can partially shift the blame in the direction of certain turncoat players. I did… I did. them Massacre of 210 million people..? What happens next is of course up to Arrowhead, but the in-universe press release sheds light on the upcoming gameplay missions.

Markiplier was so disappointed with Poppy Playtime 5 that he discontinued the series for good.
