Fortnite is finally bringing DC skins back to the item shop.

summation

  • For a long time, Fortnite was plagued by Marvel crossovers, leaving DC in the dark.
  • That's finally starting to change, with many old skins finally returning to the item shop.
  • This includes Starfire, who hasn't appeared in Fortnite for over 800 days.

Fortnite's never-ending supply of Marvel skins and cosmetics has finally come to a bit of a halt, as DC skins, including Beast Boy and Starfire, are starting to return to the item shop.

Fortnite has grown to become one of the biggest online games of all time and has since gained fame for its variety of games. many Crossover and collaboration. From Skibidi Bathroom (yes, that's right) to Peter Griffin, Epic has made it clear that it's willing to work with just about anyone with a recognizable IP. That doesn't mean you won't play your favorites, though.

Even live service games are now getting remakes.

There isn't enough to remake, so I'm going to remake a remake.

Over the past few chapters, Fortnite has teamed up with a company that stands out far more than the rest: Disney. This makes sense considering how closely the two worked together and how much money exchanged hands, but it had the sad side effect of putting DC on the backburner, leading to almost complete silence in the world of Detective Comics.

Starfire is back in Fortnite after over 800 days.

Fortunately for those who have grown tired of seeing Marvel's band of heroes, that's finally starting to change. Over the past few weeks, DC skins like Catwoman and Batman have started to reappear in the item shop, suggesting that DC has some sort of deal in place for their big return.

Most recently, we've seen the return of Beast Boy and, more interestingly, Starfire. Beast Boy hasn't appeared in the item shop for a long time, having last appeared on December 3, 2023, but for Starfire, it's a completely different story. As Twitter user and trusted Fortnite insider ShiinaBR pointed out, Starfire's last appearance in Fortnite was 830 days ago.

DC's absence from the Fortnite item shop has been evident for some time and been heavily discussed by fans, but it's a bit surprising to see how long it's taken for certain skins. Beast Boy fares slightly better, but Starfire makes it very clear how much Epic has favored Marvel heroes over the past few years. I hope they go ahead and bring back the full roster.
