Despite having literally hundreds of Fortnite skins, including some based on his own vision for the DC Universe, Zack Snyder is a proud user of the recently released Kim Kardashian “Iconic” skin. This skin is one of approximately 2.4 million players who have used the actress, reality TV show starter and hopeful lawyer in the ever-popular live service Battle Royale.
Don't you trust us? Well, check out Snyder's latest Instagram post. He thanks Kardashian for “taking me to all the royals” during the Christmas holidays.
“Okay, that’s funny,” one person wrote on Reddit.
We are right there with you. It's been known for some time that Snyder is a huge fan of Fortnite, but the idea of him standing in a queue with random players using the very skin that most hardcore players hate with the utmost passion is downright hilarious.
What matters most is that he takes to social media to share it.
I need more Sonic
As Justice League heroes, Sonic's team has tremendous potential.
However, if you've been following Snyder for a while, it makes sense that he's using the Kim K skin instead of the The Flash movie skin.
If you look at his past interviews, it's likely he was in line with Zack Snyder at some point.
The Zack Snyder x Fortnite rabbit hole goes very deep, so buckle up as we guide you through the multiverse of “Snydernite.”
First off, in an interview with IGN in 2023, Snyder revealed that he was hoping to get his son into Fortnite and play with him, except that his son wasn't really interested in the game. The elder Snyder admitted that he continues to go down the “bad rabbit hole” of Fortnite.
At the time, he was Mr. Rick and Morty. Said to be the “No Build” player who led the Meeseeks.
That same year, Snyder revealed in an interview with Wired that his love of Fortnite kept him awake well past 3 a.m. and that his wife attempted to steer him into other hobbies.
“Yeah, I’ve been playing too much Fortnite,” Snyder said in response to his wife’s insistence that he choose ceramics. “I’m actually pretty good at Fortnite, but it was 3 a.m. and my wife was like, ‘Are you seriously playing Fortnite at 3 a.m. against 12-year-olds?’”
The answer is yes. Meeseeks was still his favorite skin and he said, “If you were killed by Meeseeks, it might as well be Zack Snyder.”
Things don't end there, as Snyder has also said he will direct a Fortnite movie.
“Fortnite is an amazing world and an amazing distraction for me,” he said. “But it’s really cool, and the alchemy they’ve created is really unique. When I started playing, I thought I knew what it was, but it became something completely different.”
“I can never say never,” he declared. “This is my mantra in this business.”
For what it's worth, Epic CEO Tim Sweeney said previous reports that a Fortnite movie was in the works were false, but he didn't clarify which part of the report was false, as the insider noted that the studio passed on the opportunity to make the movie, but that the success of A Minecraft Movie could change those conversations.
Maybe Zack Snyder will grant his wish, or maybe he'll be stuck buying V-Bucks for good.
