Fighting Souls Adds Penny Parker to Spider-Man Team

Peni Parker (and her SP//dr machine, of course) has been confirmed as the final member of Spider-Man's team, The Amazing Guardians, in Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls.

After feeling that way whopping After a long time without any news about Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, Arc System Works has finally been sharing more information about the game over the past month or so. Last month's PlayStation State of Play not only gave us the game's release date, but also revealed a slew of new characters like Wolverine and Danger.

This reveal confirmed that Marvel Tokon is organizing the characters into teams of four, which has led to a lot of speculation about who will join next and how they will be connected to each team. The Spider-Man team is particularly interesting because there are so many possibilities, and we finally know who the final member will be.

Marvel Tokon is adding Peni Parker, and of course she's on the Spider-Man team.

I don't think the “Dimensions” tease was about a guest character.

This morning, the official Marvel Token Twitter account posted a message saying, “Any helping hand is welcome, even those from other dimensions.” This raised a lot of eyebrows and got everyone thinking that Arc System Works would either reveal a guest character or bring in everyone's favorite dimension hopper, Miles Morales.

But as it turns out, this teaser was actually for Peni Parker, who was just revealed in a new trailer for Marvel Tokon. Peni is the final member of the team led by Spider-Man, The Amazing Guardians, which consists of Peter Parker, Peni Parker, Kamala Khan, and, oddly enough, Star-Lord. I'm not sure why he's here, but we'll deal with it.

A stage based on Knowwhere was also confirmed in the new trailer.

According to the video, Peni is a heavy warrior with a variety of tools that allows her to mix up her moveset while relying on the strength and size of SP//dr in combat. As much as I'd love to see Miles Morales in the game, it's hard to argue that Peni is a much more interesting choice in the Spider-Verse, so I'm looking forward to seeing what she turns out to be.
