Collect resources in Everwind
Once you have a basic set of tools, you can use them to explore the island and gather resources. Here's what to focus on:
- forest log: Use a stone ax to cut down all the trees you see to collect forest logs, the first tree type material.
- rocks: Use the stone pickaxe to destroy the building blocks of the tower where you first start your journey. This is the best source of rocks, much better than simply collecting rocks off the ground.
- fiber: While running on the island and facing a grass field, press the interaction shortcut key to acquire fiber, a key resource needed to make rope, thread, and cloth.
- water: Craft a bucket through your inventory and use it to collect water from the sea. Water is used for cooking.
- meat: Hunt animals such as pheasants and capybaras on the island to collect meat that can be cooked. This will be your main form of healing early in the game.
Build a crafting station in Everwind
There are three basic building stations in the inventory that players can build themselves. These are the crafting station, cooking station, and block station. The first two are essential to progress, but you can leave Block Station for later in the game.

Upgrade your airship in Everwind
The main goal of EverwindThe initial game is about visiting and exploring new islands, gathering resources unique to those islands and using them to upgrade your airship, which is for all intents and purposes the game's only base of operations.
There are three categories in which you can upgrade your airship: Everwind:
- Speed Upgrade: Increases the ship's maximum speed.
- Size Upgrade: Increases the maximum size of your ship and the surface area on which it can be built.
- Altitude Upgrade: Increases the maximum limit on how high your spaceship can go.
Interact with the airship core to upgrade your ship.
Altitude upgrades are of utmost importance as they are the bottleneck preventing players from visiting sky islands high above. The higher your island, the rarer the resources you can collect.
