Escape From Tarkov Streamer Passes Kai Cenat on Twitch Subs.

When it comes to streaming personalities on Twitch and other platforms, few are as popular as Kai Cenat, a 23-year-old variety streamer whose scale is so massive that he hosts his own Fortnite tournament. Yeah… that's it.

As Insider Gaming first discovered, two Escape from Tarkov streamers temporarily surpassed Cenat to become the most subscribed content creators on the platform.

TwitchTracker, which breaks down active subscriptions, streaming hours, and streaming games, has both Pestily and LVNDMARK ranked first and second on the Twitch subscriber leaderboard, respectively.

Pestily currently has 136,949 subscribers, of which 116,911 are paid and the rest are Amazon Prime or gift subscribers. Meanwhile, LVNDMARK has 90,404 subscribers, of which 69,837 are paid and the rest are Amazon Prime or gift subscribers. Cenat has 70,097.

Twitch streamer Fandy just became the first person to give birth live on the platform.

It's worth noting that this is all just a temporary boost and that Cenat's record of surpassing 1 million active subscribers, set earlier this year, is in no danger. Cenat also has a ridiculous 20 million followers that are hard to beat.

In case you missed it, Escape from Tarkov has finally exited its Early Access status and released with a 1.0 release, matching the Steam version. Unfortunately, people who were already playing the game were not upgraded to the Steam version.

It probably didn't matter all that much in the end, since the game was released to “mixed” reviews. This was mainly due to the fact that even after purchasing a ripped game on Steam, players still had to use the proprietary BSG launcher, and we all know what gamers think about launchers.

That said, a Twitch Drops campaign is underway with unique rewards being offered to those who subscribe to participating content creators to celebrate the 1.0 release and earn favors in the process. In other words, it's a perfect storm that's likely to be short-lived once everyone's done.

Either way, the game should become quite popular with enough people to dethrone Kai Cenat in subscriber numbers.
