Elden Ring's Malenia Arm Statue arrived damaged.

Key Takeaways

  • Elden Ring fans who bought priceless Arms of Malenia collector's statues are arriving on their doorsteps damaged.
  • Several fans shared images of the broken statue on the Elden Ring subreddit, with many more even claiming to have received broken statues of themselves as well.
  • A fan-conducted poll claims that as many as 18 arms arrived damaged in some way, but there is no way to verify these results.

Elden Ring has a lot of expensive merchandise that you can put on your shelf or table to show off your love for the game. But one of the most expensive items is the Arm of Malenia Replica statue. It's exactly what you'd expect. It's a replica of the Malenia, Blade of Miquella that will set you back nearly $400.

This is a pretty neat collector's item and not a cheap one. So many people are extremely disappointed now that the statue has finally arrived on their doorstep. Earlier this week on the Elden Ring subreddit, user Calebh04 shared an image of the statue being completely damaged during transport.

In the post, they explained that they contacted customer support but received a “generic email” in response. If you look at the image above you can see that the statue was completely shattered without using any super glue. In a reply to Calebh04's post, another user named Weju also shared an image of a broken statue, although theirs was somewhat clean and repairable.

You might pass this off as a coincidence, but earlier today another user named WatermelonChef shared an image of Malenia's broken arm on the Elden Ring subreddit, while another user named Miss_Cryptid1 explained that her arm arrived broken as well. Four Arms of Malenia arrived damaged. That's pretty bad considering this thing is worth hundreds of dollars.

In fact, this arm seems more likely to arrive intact than broken. According to a poll conducted by Calebh04 to find out how many people were affected, 18 of them were delivered damaged, while 10 arrived in perfect condition. Of course, this is a fan-made survey, so the results may be wrong, but it's clear that there's some kind of problem when there really shouldn't be any for up to $400 worth of products.

The cause of the problem may be cheap materials or improper packaging. We don't know for sure at this point. Either way, I'm hoping the place I purchased this weapon can ship a replacement or at least a partial refund.
