Ellis played Cullen Rutherford in the first three games of Dragon Age.
According to a report from WBNG, Ellis began harassing her ex-partner after their relationship ended in 2022. When she ignored his messages, Ellis reportedly threatened self-harm. He also allegedly sent intimate photos of her to her friends and family, threatening to release them to a 'massive audience'.
He also reportedly admitted making revenge porn threats in November 2022, and the court issued a domestic violence restraining order against him. At the same time, it was revealed that he threatened witnesses who tried to testify against him.
Ellis is scheduled to make another court appearance at a later date.
Ellis is best known for his role as Theodore Groves in Pirates of the Caribbean, but he has also appeared in many video games over the years. He gained a cult following for his role as Cullen Rutherford in the Dragon Age series, appearing in every game up until Dragon Age: Inquisition.
But much of his work in recent years has centered around claims that the family court system is biased against men. He repeatedly claimed the children were removed from his care because of false claims that he had threatened to harm them.
During this time, he gained notoriety by releasing a video in which he played his character Cullen and talked about himself in the third person. In the video, he spoke out against the #MeToo movement, feminism, and cancel culture.
Since then, he appears to have taken on fewer projects. His last notable role in a video game was Hogwarts Legacy, where he played several characters including Albie Weekes and Timothy Teasdale.
