marvel rivals is gearing up for its sixth season of content, adding some of the most anticipated heroes to its roster post-launch. when marvel rivals Season 6 begins on December 6 and will feature the Merc with a Mouth, who appears to be voiced by Alejandro Saab rather than his usual actor Nolan North. Players have already seen him battle The Collector's collection of Devil Dinosaurs and other Marvel oddities, and NetEase's unique take on the character's design (with exaggerated accents on a loose mask and stylish jacket) has been well-received. Despite all the hype and, as of this writing, his release is just seven days away, his role is still unknown. But the teaser presented an interesting opportunity.
Weeks after Deadpool's arrival was announced at The Game Awards, he's been breaking the fourth wall and trolling Marvel Rivals players by changing his role in the hero select menu and hero gallery. Deadpool started out as a duelist, then transformed into a strategist and vanguard, and his role is now a question mark. The debate over which role Deadpool will take on has been fun, with some even suggesting that Deadpool could change all his roles once he dies, or take on a hybrid role entirely of his own. But that's not the most interesting part to me. Instead, Deadpool's latest fourth wall breaking causes it to appear as a map in the game's menu. I'm fully aware that this could be a NetEase joke. But if not, I wanted to decide for myself. I think Deadpool will actually be the map and not just pretend to be the map… or at least his mind will be.
How the Deadpool Map Works in Marvel Rivals Season 6
Justifying the Deadpool map isn't that difficult for NetEase. The simple answer is that characters are randomly thrust into a Deadpool-centric world, while a more interesting approach is to lean into the collector's hobby. Perhaps his museum has a powerful device that allows people to enter other people's minds and explore and see things as they really are. While Deadpool battles Elsa Bloodstone, the device activates to reveal the inner workings of Wade Wilson and create a bold new arena to play in. Considering that Land Shark Jeff received a dedicated map for this year's Winter Splash mode, and players had no problem embracing a playground dedicated to the game's adorable mascot, this kind of thing seems a lot more possible.
This kind of concept would also be interesting for a character like Moon Knight. Because his divided mind can make great maps. Objectives could include a pilgrimage to visit Khonshu, and interacting with Steven Grant and Jake Lockley in their respective antechambers could be neat.
As for what this hypothetical Deadpool map could entail, there's plenty of room for fun nods to Deadpool's history. Payload player convoys can be filled with chimichangas, and map locations can be home to an endless barrage of strange sights and sounds. potential points of interest marvel rivals Here's a map highlighting one of Marvel's most unstable characters.

This is a training room where Deadpool's sparring partner dolls, including Cable and Wolverine, are poorly made.
-
In addition to Deadpool, there are also dolls and inflatable floats of his comic book loved ones, such as his daughter Ellie, Lady Death, Valentine Vuong, Copycat, and Shiklah.
-
You may have Gwenpool to thank for Jeff the Land Shark, but Deadpool has a deep bond with this cute creature, as evidenced by his Deadpool Jeff accessories. Jeff's shrine somewhere on the map would be appropriate.

Here's a display of Deadpool's various suits, giving us a glimpse of his future skins (we're curious about his gray X-Force outfit).

Unicorns, rainbows, and tons of weapons are everywhere to really get that Deadpool vibe. I think it would be interesting to see a strange message that the man left on the map himself.

Deadpool Corps acts like Spider-Zero in Tokyo 2099 as an NPC in the resurrection room.
What does the Deadpool map mean for other Marvel rivals' teasers?
When Deadpool is listed as a map marvel rivals If it's a teaser and not a gag, it could mean that his role change also hints at something. Whether he's a hybrid character, swapping all his lives and roles, or an entirely new role with elements from all the existing categories is anyone's guess, but I'd like to see Deadpool break the rules instead of simply turning into a duelist like everyone expects.
All the trolling on NetEase's part was very entertaining, but even if the studio ends up playing it safe, I'm sure things will get a little shaken up with one of my favorite Marvel characters. Deadpool, along with fellow fourth wall-breaker She-Hulk, offers a unique opportunity to go against the grain and go against the grain, but his unique sense of humor nonetheless gives him more opportunities to get creative. Let's hope that Season 6 takes full advantage of everything Deadpool can offer and delivers a Deadpool-themed map with the man.
