Developer Treyarch Studios has now revealed that it has added new protections to prevent players from losing huge amounts of their progress, and this appears to have pleased much of the community.
With launch Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Earlier this month, Treyarch Studios continued to push the franchise forward with Endgame, another new mode for players to dive into. It's unclear whether this mode will be available in every new title coming in the future, but this year gives players a lot more content to check out. For those of you who don't know, Endgame is a new PvE Extraction-style mode that allows players to jump into Avalon with 31 other players, complete objectives, secure gear, and then escape. What fans have come to love about this mode is that it's a great way to level up your weapons and progress through challenges without having to struggle with multiplayer or zombies.

Black Ops 7 adds disconnect protection to endgame
while Call of Duty: Black Ops 7's new endgame mode has received a positive response from fans, but serious issues are causing serious frustration in the community. Previously, players who were suddenly disconnected from Endgame would lose a huge amount of their progress, but now a new update has added an extra layer of protection that could make this issue a thing of the past. According to developer Treyarch Studios, the game will now display a snapshot of a player's Combat Rating when they jump into an Endgame match, and if an unexpected disconnect occurs, players will start the next match at the Combat Rating they entered in the previous match. However, this is an extraction-based mode, so if players fail to escape during a match, they will lose progress.
This was a big problem. Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Many players have reported losing a lot of Battle Rank levels due to accidental disconnections. One Reddit user even claimed that he lost his level 60 Battle Rank after losing Wi-Fi during a match. Players lost hours of progress and said it was unfair for them to be punished for something out of their control. Another user even said he was kicked into the lobby three times a day and had his combat rating reset to 0 each time.

This is a much-needed change that will make fans much less reluctant to jump into Endgame now that they know their progress won't be jeopardized if they accidentally disconnect.
