EA has released a new update. Battlefield 6While we continue to improve our online shooter, we've also made additional adjustments to a pair of cosmetic outfits. Thanks to strong word-of-mouth and well-received open beta testing conducted during the summer of 2025, Battlefield 6 It was a huge success initially. It features a more grounded gameplay style reminiscent of previously beloved titles such as: Battlefield 3Many players felt like the franchise was coming back in a big way.
Since launch it has been a huge help. Battlefield 6 It became the best-selling shooter of 2025, but things seem to be changing as the game suffers from numerous controversies and player frustration. In fact, the player base seems to have fallen to alarming levels due to rival titles such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 It starts to creep up on it. However, EA and Battlefield Studios continue to improve the experience with updates and new content, and hopefully this spark can once again help the game get closer to launch-level numbers.
Battlefield 6 has made major changes to address BF Pro bonus path progression issues.
Battlefield Studios is releasing a new Battlefield 6 fix for recent progression issues with BF Pro bonus path rewards.
Latest update: Battlefield 6 Although not as large as previous updates, DICE continues to improve the player experience with new quality-of-life improvements to core mechanics like player movement. Specifically, this update targets excessive sprint jump momentum and unintentional movement behavior, re-sorting these odd exception cases. The patch notes confirm that this fix will not affect player movement “on a large scale” and is intended to prevent these extreme cases from occurring and potentially negatively impacting matches.
For many players, one of the bigger adjustments in this update is some of the cosmetics. Battlefield 6's Objective Ace and Winter Warning appearances are being adjusted to, as Battlefield Studios puts it, “better align with Battlefield's visual identity.” Unfortunately, no details were shared about how the cosmetics were updated, but both have received a fair amount of criticism online. The Objective Ace mask was criticized for looking like it was ripped from Activision's mask. Call of Duty: Ghost The logo, the winter warning banner, appeared to have been created by Generative-AI due to a few oddities, such as the two-barrel gun and the hand position of the person holding it.
Actually this is not the first time Battlefield 6 However, there was a problem with the cosmetics. EA and Battlefield Studios initially rejected the idea of cosmetics and skins that didn't fit the game, but some previously released costumes left many fans feeling like they strayed too far from the realistic aesthetic the game was going for. Especially the Wicked Grin costume. Battlefield 6 The mask, which featured bright blue accent colors and a toothy grin, was deemed too colorful. Before long, the costume disappeared from the game entirely, eventually reappearing in drab colors, neck gaiters, and without a smile. While there was some debate as to what boundaries the skin actually crossed, some were concerned that this could be the start of a slippery slope for future costumes.
After delaying the start of Season 2 Battlefield 6There's hope in the community that EA and Battlefield Studios have used the extra time wisely to not only add highly requested content, but also iron out many of the remaining issues. Either way, the release date is February 17th, so players will have to wait a little longer to see what's coming.
