For a single-player game, Baldur's Gate 3 is very replayable. Most of us have already completed several playthroughs with Tav, his original companion Dark Urge, or have simply taken a different route to complete them. It may sound surprising, but even though BG3 still has a huge player base after over two years, there are people who have yet to experience the game.
Playing Baldur's Gate 3 for the first time is something we all wish we could experience again. But what advice would you give to someone just starting out in the game? There are a lot of features that can be complicated for beginners, but the most common advice given to beginners seems to be to use long rests often.
Use the long rest feature often in Baldur's Gate 3.
Although most of the narrative takes place on the move, many of the stories and accompanying narratives take place in the camp. Forming stronger bonds with your companions and even forming romances are all part of the game, and much of this only happens during long rests at camp. New players might think they can save time by recovering on the go, but they'll miss out on a lot of story beats.
Manofthewick revealed on the Baldur's Gate 3 subreddit that he received a physical copy of the game for Christmas. They haven't even started playing yet, and they couldn't help but post about the awesome gift on Reddit. The comments were all very wholesome, with the most-voted one saying: “Enjoy the game. Take breaks often. Don't participate in this subreddit for obvious reasons.”
Divinity will not just fill the shoes of Baldur's Gate 3, it will grow into something more.
Larian Studios has announced the successor to Baldur's Gate 3.
Everyone agreed it was great advice for a new player. One player mentioned that he didn't take enough rest for fear of losing content, but later realized that long rests actually opened up more content and opportunities.
Some of the other advice they received included holding on to every rope they could find, saving often and licking spiders.
