Astra Malorum Easter Egg Walkthrough – CoD BO7

Here's an easy step-by-step guide that will walk you through the entire major Easter egg quest for Astra Malorum in Black Ops 7 Zombies!

The best weapon for Astra Malorum

m34 nobalin

The M34 Novaline is Astra Malorum's best meta weapon. For several reasons. This marksman rifle already packs a lethal punch, but running it through Pack-a-Punch makes it a fully automatic combination of a sniper rifle and an assault rifle. It has the best base damage numbers, incredible damage range, rate of fire, and magazine size to support any player. Here are the attachments you'll want to run to get the most out of your M34 Novaline:

Why it's useful

Titan-R 7.62 Compensator (Muzzle)

Improves hip fire spread, slide to fire rate, dive to fire rate, and tactical stance speed. You'll want to run and shoot while sliding, so it's a good idea to do these while firing and reducing bullet spread.

17″ B-1 Hyperrid Barrel (Barrel)

Damage range and bullet speed are increased, allowing you to hit enemies harder and farther.

EAM Steady-90 Grip (Underbarrel)

Increases horizontal recoil control, sprint movement speed, and movement speed.

Bowen 762 extended magazine (magazine)

Increasing the ammo capacity to 30 rounds makes it ideal for aggressive, sustained fire without reloading.

Cougar draw grip (rear grip)

Improves aim aim speed and jump aim aim speed. There are plenty of opportunities in the boss arena to aim for key spots and use anti-gravity jumps.

Mil-spec light stock (stock)

Increases unaimed fire movement speed, movement speed, and gun movement speed.

1mW Instinct Laser Array (Laser)

Sprint until your aim speed increases and your fire rate increases.

7.62 NATO FMJ (Fire Mode)

Penetration ability to penetrate armed enemies increases. Bosses also have armor.

The Astra Malorum Wonder Weapon, LGM-1, is also very important in boss fights. When you fire the LGM-1, it finds a target, deals continuous damage, and returns you to the gun so you don't have to buy ammo.

The LGM-1 is great for running and firing, and can actually be used with the Stock OptionGobbleGum and Frenzy Fire Augment along with the Frenzied Guard Field upgrade to launch infinite UFOs that will crush bosses in seconds!

Best GobbleGum for Astra Malorum

Astra Malorum Gobblegum

GobbleGum isn't necessarily an Easter egg or boss fight, but it certainly adds a unique advantage. If you have any GobbleGum left, you'll need to do three things for the boss fight:

Gobble Gum

explanation

power box

Generates a full power power-up.

Shield up

Recharge your armor when you use it. Defense becomes twice as strong. (lasts 3 minutes)

stock options

Ammunition is taken from the player's stockpile instead of the weapon magazine. (lasts 60 seconds)

Stock Option is the most essential GobbleGum here. This allows you to fire from a stock instead of a magazine. Stock options can give the LGM-1 infinite ammo to crush bosses. However, once the patch is released, you will have unlimited ammo to blast through bosses with your default gun.

The Power Keg helps you always have field upgrades on hand that you need to reserve so you can escape when things get too hectic or use another Frenzied Guard to get infinite ammo back. Shields Up is also great. It would be really helpful to have a way to get a stronger shield when you're in a pinch, as bosses will easily tear through your shield.

Essential Perks of Astra Malorum

Really, you can't go wrong with having all the perks before starting a boss fight. However, there are a few that are much more useful than others, and it's a good idea to get these augmentations along with them to increase your chances of survival.

filter

augmentation

Why is it useful?

quick resurrection

dying wish

If you take critical damage to avoid death, you become immune to all damage but lose your quick respawn.

Juggernog

iron core

durable plate

hardened plate

The armor has more durability, better damage mitigation, and has 350 HP instead of 250 HP, allowing you to take more hits if the armor breaks.

stamina up

Guns Up

footwork

Fire while sprinting and increase your forward sprint speed to maintain constant mobility and agility.

mule kick

free throw

plate hunter

You have a chance to store equipment when using it, and you can carry 4 armor plates, so you'll never be empty-handed.

Deadshot Daiquiri

dead point

dead break

draw

Provides extra critical and bonus damage at close range, deals extra damage to armor pieces (the boss has), and increases your chance to hit, allowing you to keep moving.

double tap

double dealer

double time

Every fourth bullet fired deals double damage, and the weapon's rate of fire is further increased to provide the best DPS.

Again, all of the perks are useful in boss fights, but these specific perks and enhancements make you feel more powerful and help you survive longer, as you want extra health, extra DPS, and movement.

Why it's useful

Frenzy Fire (Major)

You can fire the LGM-1 and the default weapon infinitely using default ammo.

Expansion (Minor)

Increase the Frenzy Guard duration to maintain your armor and keep your guns firing.

I recommend a frenzied guard for the Astra Malorum boss fight. Aether Shroud is still a good choice. Especially for Extra Charge and Extension Augments because when activated, bosses and other zombies will ignore you. However, the boss has multiple attacks that deal area splash damage, so you can still take damage. Therefore, we chose the Frenzy Guard to ensure your armor can best handle all the damage, while the Frenzy Fire mod allows you to keep shooting for maximum damage.

It is also worth noting that the Astra Malorum boss is not weak to any ammo mod, but it is recommended to run Fire Works as it can help kill zombies instantly when activated.

Astra Malorum Boss Battle Tips

Here are some useful tips to help you win the Astra Malorum boss fight.

  • In the first stage, you focus on charging up the pillar by keeping moving and killing zombies, and once the zombies are charged, interact with the brain to fire a laser at the boss. This is the only way to inflict damage in the first phase.

  • The rocks the boss throws can cause critical damage, so bring some stimulants so you can heal.

  • Keep moving and weave between pillars and walls to avoid getting hit by the stones thrown by the boss.

  • Focus on using LGM-1. This is because they can swarm bosses while moving and deal significant damage.

  • Keep moving and only shoot when you are at a safe distance from the boss. When you fire, focus on one part of her, destroying her armor and exposing her blue critical hit spot for massive damage.

  • During the second phase of Caltheris, use Frenzied Guard and spam LGM-1 to launch endless UFOs that stack damage.

  • After purchasing ammo for the LGM-1, use the Stock Exchange for Stage 3 (Caltheris Ascendary).

  • Buy ammo for the LGM-1, then use the Power Keg, then use the Frenzied Guard on Caltheris the Needle (Level 4) to open fire and kill her quickly.
