ARC Raiders Developer Embark Studios has released a substantial new update to its third-person extraction shooter, including nerfing the beloved Venator and increasing the price and crafting costs of Deadline mines. ARC RaidersThe 1.3.0 update is available now for download on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series
There may not be any new content for players to check out in today's patch, but it was just last week that Embark released update 1.2.0. ARC RaidersAdded Stella Montis, an intense melee map that's not for those looking for easy raids. The new map also includes a new ARC enemy called Shredder. This enemy can only be found in Stella Montis and fires four rounds of shrapnel in all directions, making it one of the most fearsome enemies ever. And if the Queen isn't already big enough, last week's update also introduced the Matriarch, who can only be found under certain map conditions. But trust me. You will find out when you find her.
The single most important item you should always loot in ARC Raiders.
The most valuable things in ARC Raiders often change depending on each player's needs, but there is one item you should always make room for.
This week's update is light on content, but includes a lot of balance tweaks and bug fixes. one of the following ARC RaidersThe Venator, its most overpowering weapon, received a significant nerf in today's update, as Embark said it was “overpowered.” The studio said the weapon was capable of overpowering entire squads using melee weapons, so they decided to re-adjust the rate of fire gained by the upgrade to “reduce the speed slightly, while still maintaining the same damage and accuracy.” For those who want to know the details, the Venator's upgrade reduces his rate of fire gained from 22/44/60% to 13/26/40% and increases his weight from 2 to 5.
Unfortunately, this isn't the only nerf included in the latest patch. like ARC Raiders It continues to be a huge success, averaging around 400,000 concurrent users per day on Steam. It's no surprise that players have found the easiest way to eliminate ARC enemies. One way fans achieved this was with Deadline, a new explosive mine that deals 1000 damage per hit. Players found it easy to take down Bastions, Bombardiers, etc., so Embark made mines more difficult to obtain in update 1.3. According to the patch notes, its purchase value has been increased from 8,100 coins to 15,000 coins, it now requires 3 Explosive Compounds and 2 ARC Circuits to craft, and its trader inventory has been reduced from 3 to 1.
The new version includes numerous other bug fixes and balance adjustments. ARC Raiders Update including changes to launcher ammo, explosion damage, and power cells. But Embark also included a secret surprise for one fan who asked the studio to let him display his impressive duck collection. Last week, one user took to Reddit to express their disappointment that Raider Den couldn't display all 600 rubber ducks. There's no confirmation yet if this is possible (I'd love to check, but I don't have 600 rubber ducks, funny), but the image accompanying the patch notes shows the Raider surrounded by ducks in a den, suggesting that Embark may have raised the bar.

Venator
Developer notes: The fully upgraded Venator has recently become capable of overpowering entire squads using close range weapons. We're retuning the rate of fire gained through upgrades to slightly reduce speed while maintaining damage and accuracy. This should encourage players to spend more time shooting instead of dumping their ammo at the first poor soul they encounter. Additionally, the community rightly pointed out that the Venator's weight did not match that of other pistols, so this was fixed.
-
Upgrade fire rate reduced from 22/44/60% to 13/26/40%.
-
Weight increased from 2 to 5.
explosive damage
Developer notes: We found that weapons like the Hulkcracker could kill larger drones too quickly, with the explosives damaging more areas at once than intended. We've adjusted explosion damage to be more consistent across the board, and rebalanced Hulkcracker's damage to account for these changes. This requires Hulkcracker shots to be a bit more precise while still doing good damage on target.
-
Rebalanced explosion damage for ARC for a more consistent experience.
-
Explosions against small enemies such as turrets are not significantly affected.
-
Explosions against larger sized enemies, such as Bastion, generally do slightly less damage.
