Arc Raiders fans are upset about the map event schedule.

Arc Raiders is arguably one of the most successful games released in 2025, and has done a great job with a ton of exciting events and updates to keep people interested. For example, the new Headwinds update includes an interesting mode that pits single-player against hordes of enemies.

We've also brought along a rather wacky map event called Bird City. During the event, the Buried City will be filled with birds at three intervals each day. It's a silly little thing, but the quirkiness of quite a few players has been ruined by the event's unstable schedule, as Europeans have a hard time actually playing when the event is happening.

Arc Raiders fans are upset about the map event schedule.

As you can see, the timing of the Bird City event is fixed, taking place every 8 hours three times a day. Unfortunately for those living in the UK, these times are 12am – 1am, 8am – 9am and 4pm – 5pm. For people who work standard 9-5 jobs, actually seeing Bird City events is nearly impossible. You may be sleeping, working, or coming home from work.

In Arc Raiders, three raiders are having a conversation.

According to Dev, late spawning actually turns out to be a good thing in Arc Raiders.

Late spawning isn't as bad as you might think.

It is because of these scheduling issues that Arc Raiders players across Europe describe Bird City as an event for “unemployed people.” Posting on the gaming subreddit (thanks to GamesRadar), user Kitchen_Explorer_889 expressed frustration with Bird City's schedule, claiming the current system “doesn't work for the typical 9-5 worker.”

Another user claimed that Bird City is “completely unplayable for European players,” while a user in another post said he was completely “pretty tired of the fixed schedule” and explained that he once had to wait a long time to get the Bobcat blueprint from the Locked Gate event due to his work schedule. Another says Embark “seems to have forgotten that people have jobs.”

For the most part, it seems like these people want Embark to start changing the times every week and not leave them as set times. Kitchen_Explorer_889 claims that Embark should “make the times completely random” so people don't miss out on these events. This is especially true if your work schedule prevents you from experiencing these events. This is a fair claim. It's difficult to accommodate too many time slots when our game is so popular, but using random times ensures that no one will be left out.
