As the main character of demon slayerTanjiro Kamado has killed quite a few villains, which is one of the reasons why fans love him so much. Tanjiro achieved great victories over Kyogai, Enmu, and others, and overcame adversity by defeating Kyutaro and Hantengu of Upper Moon. But Tanjiro can't be there for every battle, so it's up to his allies to pick up the slack.
Supporting characters like Zenitsu, Inosuke, and the various Hashira need a chance to shine in battle, and they're given hard-earned wins to show for it. He's taken down several notable villains with little to no help from Tanjiro, and it's always a thrill to watch. Interestingly, there are instances where the villain is defeated on his own, which says a lot about the character's own story.

Tanjiro played an important role in the fight against the Sangwol clan in the entertainment district, but he was unable to defeat all the villains alone. Despite this, Zenitsu showed impressive growth both internally and externally when he took on his former fellow apprentice. It also showed that Zenitsu had the spirit and courage necessary to bridge the gap, despite knowing less of the Thunder Breath form than Kaigaku.
In the process, Zenitsu helped bring back the idea of Thunder Breathing, as Kaigaku had distorted it into a tool of evil and cruelty as a demon. In a way, Kaigaku was Jigoro's true heir, as he was the one who mastered Thunder Breathing much better than Zenitsu at the time. It seemed like Thunder Breath was in bad shape for a while, but everything changed with Zenitsu's victory, defeating Kaigaku without the help of Tanjiro or Inosuke.

As everyone in the Masal Corps expected, Sangwol No. 1 Kokushibo was virtually unstoppable. The six-eyed demon was capable of everything from physical regeneration, lunar breathing in a transparent world, and even the mark of a demon slayer. Even Tanjiro Kamado and all his plot armor can't defeat him alone. While Tanjiro fought and recovered from his battle, four other demon slayers challenged Kokushibo to fight to the end.
On the demon slayer side, the powerful demon slayer Gyomei Himejima took the lead and gave his all as the most powerful demon slayer of his time. However, despite all the firepower on the human side, Kokushibo only took a few lives and the demon slayers won by a very narrow margin at all.
