The Giants are a remarkable race. one piece, A major element of the most powerful faction in the series. While world governments have begun recruiting their kind, they are also a constant presence in pirate groups, either creating their own or finding their way elsewhere in some other way.

Since giants are physically much stronger than humans, it’s understandable why people would want to take them on board, although it may require a larger ship to afford the privilege. Here’s a look at some known crews that include giants among their members.

Large pirates with unknown crews or large criminals who are not strictly 'pirates' are not listed.

7 Giant Warrior Pirates

Captain: Dorry & Broggy, formerly Jarul & Jorul

Giant Warrior Pirates Dori Brogy One Piece

This crew hails from the island of Elbaf, and follows the proud custom of warrior duels. There seems to be a tradition of having two captains at a time. The current two captains, Dorri and Brogi, are referred to by some as “ancient legends”. They met the Straw Hats on Little Garden Island, where they attempted to duel to settle a dispute over who was greater. The Straw Hats eventually came to their aid after members of Baroque Works attempted to poach them. Dorri and Brogi were later seen on Elbaf, helping Shanks defeat the Kid Pirates by destroying their ship, the Victoria Punk. Despite returning to Elbaf in search of sharper weapons, they seem to plan to resume this duel at some point in the future.

One of the crew's former captains, Jorull, was accidentally killed by the young Charlotte Linlin, who grew up in an orphanage on the island. This incident caused all the titans to despise her, making them one of the few species not represented in her domain. Other known crew members include Oimo and Kashii, who were once tricked into serving the World Government, but their scheme was exposed by Usopp.

6 New Giant Warrior Pirates

Captain: Hajuruddin

One Piece Giants

This pirate group is made up of relatively young titans, most of whom were children when Jorull died. The most famous member of their crew is Captain Hayrudin, who competed for Mera Merano Mi in the Corrida Colosseum. Despite his arrogant nature, he was grateful that the Straw Hat Pirates saved them, and he lifted up 'God' Usopp so that the rescued could see their savior.

Hairudin and his crew were former mercenaries of the Buggy's Delivery, and were considered the most valuable members during the organization's tenure. However, Hairudin converted the team to a pirate group in order to join the Straw Hat Fleet, a pirate organization that is grateful to Luffy and wants to serve as his subordinates. Luffy treats them as allies, but the fleet takes their subordinate status very seriously.

The New Giant Warrior Pirates served as a spiritual revival for the New Giant Warrior Pirates, whom Hajrudin had grown up idolizing. Hajrudin was not the only pirate in this crew to have crossed paths with the Straw Hats before. Stansen, a shipwright in the crew, was freed from the slave auction house by Silvers Rayleigh when the Straw Hat Pirates attacked his business.

5 Foxy Pirates (formerly)

Captain: Foxy

One Piece's Watans

The Foxy Pirates were a large crew featuring many skilled pirates with special skills from various crews. The one pirate of unclear origin in the crew was Big Pan, a half-fishman, half-giant Wotan. His giant physiology gives him a more human appearance than his pure-fishman brethren. Pan is the only Wotan known in the canon series.

Big Fan participated in the Foxy Pirates' Davy Back Fights, a tradition where they would steal crew members from other crews they crossed paths with. Fan teamed up with Hamburger and Pickles in the Groggy Ring portion of one of these Davy Back Fights, and the trio competed against Zoro and Sanji. The trio had a much better relationship than the Straw Hats, but eventually lost when the two decided to get serious.

Big Fan has since parted ways with the crew, along with most of the Foxy Pirates, presumably poached in the Davey Backfight. His former teammate Hamburg is one of three remaining members of the crew, as shown in Final Saga.

4 Thriller Bark Pirates (formerly)

Captain: Gekko Moria

Snazzy looks up at Oz

Gecko Moria was a pirate of some fame before he was defeated by Kaido, but Kaido killed all of his crew except him. As a result, Moria decided to form a crew of zombies, so that he would feel less sentimental when they were dead. Moria was notable enough to become a warlord, but he was not particularly successful. One of his most powerful zombies was Oars, an ancient giant who was resurrected as the shadow of Monkey D. Luffy.

An ancient giant, Oz is much larger than most giants. As a zombie, he is also immune to pain. However, this is somewhat detrimental, as he is less aware of which parts of his body are damaged. After a relentless beating by most of the Straw Hat Pirates, Oz lost Luffy's Shadow, and Moria used it to strengthen himself as Shadow Asgard.

3 Blackbeard Pirates

Captain: Marshall D. Teach

San Juan Wolf One Piece

Blackbeard was once a member of the Whitebeard Pirates, but he betrayed one of his superiors and stole a Devil Fruit that had been retrieved. This was part of a long-running con that Blackbeard had been carrying out to cultivate his ideal crew while drawing minimal attention to himself. Initially, the crew consisted of only four men, but after becoming a warlord, he used his privilege to visit Impel Down, a prison for the most notorious pirates. There, he forced the lowest-ranking inmates to fight each other to the death for the privilege of joining his crew.

One of the survivors was San Juan Wolf, a giant from West Blue. In terms of personality, Wolf seems rather harmless compared to his comrades. He has an aversion to fighting and has not yet been seen actively participating in any battles. He was the only one who did not participate in the assassination of Whitebeard. However, he is completely indifferent to the crimes of his comrades and joins them as they gain power. He is the only giant among the ten Titanic captains who are currently the top officers of the Blackbeard Pirates.

What makes Wolf so scary is his Devil Fruit, Deka Deka no Maze, which makes him the largest giant. Even his allies are content to let him rest most of the time because of the potential danger of waking him up. Wolf has the ability to accidentally leave behind destruction, which makes viewers question how dangerous he is when he takes a fight seriously.

2 Little Pirates

Captain: Little Oz Jr.

Little Oz Junior One Piece

This crew is one of many crews that served as subordinate crews of the Whitebeard Pirates. Their captain is Little Oz Jr., an ancient giant from Oz. He was friends with Ace and, like most of Whitebeard's army, traveled to rescue him during the Normal War.

The rest of the crew are not giants, but rather regular-sized humans who mimic the appearance of their captain. They achieve this with fake chins and wigs that mimic his flowing red hair. Like most Whitebeard lineage sailors and pirates, their status after the war is not immediately known.

1 Beast Pirates

Captain: Kaido

Numbers, three artificially created ancient giants, characterized by their bright colors, sharp teeth, and horns.

The Beast Pirates were once considered the greatest threat to the World Government. Their captain, Kaido, was always looking to snatch up new talent to add to his crew. In addition to recruiting several former captains and crew members, Kaido also purchased a group of artificial ancient giants from Punk Hazard, whom he called the Numbers.

They were successful in mimicking the size and lifespan of their counterparts, but were considered a failure. They resemble ancient giants in appearance, but often have more animalistic traits. They are not the smartest of the lot, and tend to drink alcohol, which reduces their stamina. That said, they are still powerful compared to the snarls of their crewmates, but are much weaker than the more advanced pirates.
