A new Borderlands 4 glitch could make your character very OP, but you'll have to act fast.

newly discovered Borderlands 4 A glitch could completely break a meta build relatively easily, but Gearbox is already aware of it and working on a fix. It is unclear what the schedule for this revision will be, but Borderlands 4 Fans will want to keep the regular Thursday patch notes in mind while using the glitch.

The end result, shared by content creator JoltzDude139 and first reported by GamesRadar, is essentially duplicating skill points to the point where players can unlock any skill they want. Although there are a lot of OP builds Borderlands 4It's pretty clear that this will quickly throw the game off balance.

As JoltzDude139 explains, this glitch forces players to invest a certain number of skill points into any ability, only to have 1 skill point left, and not have all abilities maxed out (2 points short). Once the player has the ability they want, they go back to their previous skill (with 1 point) and pour the remaining skill points into that ability. Then click 'Undo' to revert the process. What happens here is that instead of returning a single skill of the ability, the function returns two. Borderlands 4 essentially assumes the player has discarded even though they haven't discarded more than 1 point, and the player can repeat this until they break the build they want. Of course, as JoltzDude139 explains, repeating this over and over again would be tedious, but the possibilities of these builds are downright groundbreaking.

It seems too game-breaking for players to run. Borderlands 4 Creative director Graeme Timmins responded to Joltzdude139 simply, “We’re making progress.” It's unclear how quickly this issue will be resolved or where it falls in Gearbox's current priorities, but considering how damaging this could be, fans can probably expect it sooner rather than later. Taking advantage of this means you want fans to get into the game quickly and get the process going. Unless it's addressed via a hotfix, fans can probably expect this issue to be fixed with the November 20th or November 27th patch. Anyway, I don't think I'll be able to survive until the end of this month.

It will be interesting to see how the community reacts to this glitch and the pending fix. On the one hand, creating an incredibly powerful build is Borderlands 4 That's part of the fun. On the other hand, this completely breaks the constraints of the game and is legitimately game-breaking, not just about builds. It'll definitely be fun to check it out for a bit. But the fan needs to be fast to do that.
