Lenovo may offer the first third-party devices to support SteamOS
Along with Legion GO S, Lenovo will reportedly unveil Legion GO S Steam Edition and Legion GO 2. The latter is the direct successor to the current Lenovo Legion GO and will be equipped with the AMD Z2 Extreme chipset for maximum performance. There is also an 8.8-inch 2560×1600 OLED display. The Legion GO S Steam Edition is even more interesting because it may be the first third-party device to come with Steam Deck's SteamOS operating system instead of Windows 11, as the name suggests.
Valve has been working on third-party device integration for SteamOS for a long time, and it looks like those efforts will finally come to fruition with the announcement of Lenovo's new Legion GO lineup at CES 2025 next month.
