Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered: Grave Hoarding Walkthrough

The search for Maker's End has proven productive for Aloy in the previous main quest. Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered. She learned the identity of the mysterious woman and discovered the term Project: Zero Dawn. She's also found another potential clue to learn more about this mysterious project, and more answers can be found in the Grave-Hoard. Here's what you can expect when you start The Grave-Hoard.

This walkthrough contains spoilers, so proceed with caution.

Go to the grave pile

After completing Maker's End, the next step is to go to the Grave Hoard. The Grave Hoard is located far north of Mother's Crown. frozen wild DLC is underway. As you get closer to your destination, you will come across the Shell-Walker site. You can either ignore it or take it as a consumable. There is a watchman patrolling nearby, so look carefully.

As you get closer to the entrance to the Grave Hoard, you will see a group of Eclipse guarding the path. Take them out and continue down the path towards the remains of the large machine. The entrance is in a hole in the ground south of the campfire. There will be two guards and a Corrupted Watcher right at the entrance. After dealing with them, go down the zipline that takes you deep into the ruins.

How to restore power to a bunker door

There are many data points you can collect from the corpse as it moves. Continue through narrow hallways and destroyed rooms. If you go further down, you will see another zipline. At the bottom you will see a bunker door with no power.

To solve the problem, turn left and go further into the cave. This leads to an open room with four terminals directly in front of you and eight terminals on the floor below. These terminals are called hololoks, and they all must be rotated into a specific position to restore power.

If you focus on the lock on the bottom of the chamber, the left terminal will show you where the holographic lock should be, making first setup easy. For the first setup, the red dot on each lock should be on the left. Next order: up, up, down, down. If entered correctly, the lock will glow light blue and the red will disappear.

The second set of locks on the bottom floor are trickier. Unlike the first set, no combinations are given on the machine next to it. Next to the machine is a data point with an audio file. Listen to this file to get the next hint.

Birds fly north in summer, east in spring, west in fall and south in winter.

For the puzzle, the leak indicates the red part of the lock and where it should be. Ignore the seasons. Because this part is not important for solving the puzzle. The answers to this puzzle, from left to right, are: up, right, left, down. You can see the solution in the image above.

The upstairs terminal also offers solutions for four holographic locks: top, bottom, left and right. Activating all three sets will re-energize the door.

Continue exploring the tomb

Go back to the door and go through. Beyond this door is another power cell that you need to get the Shield Weaver armor. There will also be a group of eight Eclipse Cultists and a Corrupted Watcher.

Unlike outside, there are fewer places to hide. Regardless, try to take out as many of them as possible with stealth so you can have an easier time in combat if you are detected. One of the cultists is armed with a Deathbringer gun, so be careful.

Once all the enemies are dead, cross the narrow passage and jump to the other side. Then look to the left to find a section of rock wall ahead that you can jump and grab. Go to the right and you'll reach a point where you can climb up towards the beam of light.

In this next area, you can either go left or enter the room directly in front of you. There are several data points in the room that you can collect as you move through the hallways and closer to your destination. In the next room you will see a holo projector that you can activate. After a brief conversation, go through the door on the right into the next room.

Destroy the Deathbringer

Just like in Maker's End, you'll encounter another Deathbringer. However, this can be moved. Also accompanying you are five Eclipse fanatics. Go around the platform and descend. Be mindful of which direction the Deathbringer is facing. Because even if you kill the cultist stealthily, the Deathbringer will notice you very quickly at the drop-off point.

Take out the cultists and then continue to ignite Deathbringer with fire arrows. The Deathbringer will constantly attack, so keep moving and stay behind cover.

War Room Search

With the Deathbringer destroyed, go through the door at the bottom of the stairs. Go through the hall and you will reach the War Room, which contains another holo projector. Activate it and watch the holographic video.

At the end of the video, the door opens to reveal a ladder to climb up. This ladder will allow you to go back outside and complete this quest.
