That's not too far off now, as Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is set to release early next month. Now you have the full roster to choose your team from. There are many popular characters like Spider-Man, Peni Parker, Star Lord, etc., but like any other fighting game, more characters will be added in updates after release.
In fact, we recently got our first look at one of these characters at San Diego Comic-Con. That's because it was confirmed by a fan attending the panel that Phoenix Cyclops will be the game's first official DLC character.
Phoenix Cyclops will be added to Marvel Tokon after launch
Unless you're overly familiar with Marvel (and maybe you've played a lot of Rivals like me), Phoenix Cyclops is just one character. He's basically a villainous version of the regular Cyclops we all know and love, and was taken over by the powers of the Phoenix Force in Avengers vs. X-Men.
Unfortunately, we haven't gotten any gameplay of what character Phoenix Cyclops will be, nor do we have a release date, but it has been confirmed that he will be the first additional character to join the game in Year 1, which means there will be many more to come besides him.
If he's your first character, we'll probably get more information about his playstyle soon. And it's a pretty good sign for Marvel Tokon itself that the game is getting a confirmed pick as DLC before it's even released.
