Jump Festa 2027 has been officially confirmed for December 19, 2026
On July 20, 2026, Shueisha officially announced that Jump Festa 2027 would be held in Japan on December 19 and December 20, 2026. This major event will focus on all manga published in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump, either currently serialized or recently concluded, and several projects are planned. As we already know, Kohei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia ended just two years ago, and its last release was just one year ago in 2025. So, even though the series is over, it's likely that it will be included in the panel for Jump Festa 2027.

The film is currently in production, and we know it will come out in the next few years. Production of a film typically takes up to a year before its official release, which means we could see the release of this film sometime in 2027 or 2028.

Little has been revealed about the film so far, but Jump Festa 2027 could reveal a message from Kohei Horikoshi himself regarding an upcoming project that aims to make My Hero Academia an even more global success than it already is. Fans had mixed reactions to the news of My Hero Academia's live-action announcement, but if Netflix's One Piece live-action movie is any good, My Hero Academia could be a success. Especially considering the superhero theme, which is very similar to Marvel and DC projects.
