Black Clover is a series written by Yuki Tabata in 2015, and debuted in WSJ Issue #12 on February 16, 2015. Why Asta's 5-leaf grimoire made him the Wizard King

Almost everyone in Black Clover is born with some mana as an energy source, but Asta and Liebe are born with nothing. Ribe was just born that way, Asta's Mana was taken away by his mother due to a strange condition that caused him to drain his life force.
Anti-magic is so powerful that it counteracts all the mana possessed by all other characters. Asta can cut through all mana-based abilities when wielding an anti-magic weapon. This means that even overwhelming and destructive abilities, such as Lucius' time magic or soul magic, or Yuno's wind and star magic, can be countered and negated. Asta is a very difficult character to defeat with his fierce stamina gained through years of training and his magic or physics-based powers.
Possessing Anti-Magic, Asta was able to push for a battle with Lucius in the comics. Despite Yuno's undeniable magical talent, without anti-magic the battle would have ended very quickly. Yuno alone would not have been able to refute Lucius. In that sense, even the lucky Four Leaf Grimoire was left behind. With the power of the Grimoire, Asta was able to utilize his ultimate ability, Devil Union, and overcome all obstacles. Devil Union is a transformation that combines with Liebe to coat itself in anti-magic, creating a more ferocious form that is more difficult to defeat with magic. Asta last used Anti-Magic in the manga vs. Yuno in episode 392, officially released on May 1, 2026, with his final move being 'Demon Slayer' during the decisive battle that resulted in him becoming the Wizard King.

Black Clover ended in Jump GIGA's Spring Edition, with the final batch consisting of three chapters, ending with Chapter 392 on May 1. The final chapter saw some character arc conclusions, such as Asta becoming the Wizard King or Noelle reconnecting with her siblings. We've also seen some couples form, like Yami and Charlotte. It may seem like the end of the Black Clover series as a whole, but there is one final chapter left, on August 4, 2026.
