Onoki served as the third Tsuchikage of the Hidden Stone Village for decades, and all his combat experience made him one of the most powerful ninja in history. Although he has mastered the Earth release, he does not have much of an effect on Hashirama's Wood release. Fortunately, Onoki is one of the few who can use Dust Release, an extremely rare and powerful Kekkei Tota that can instantly destroy Wood Release.
Dust Release allows Onoki to use his chakra to create three-dimensional objects with his hands and then launch them at targets. These objects move incredibly fast and immediately expand once they reach their target. Anything trapped within the inflated object disintegrates at the molecular level. During the Fourth Ninja War, Onoki used Dust Ejection to vaporize Madara's Wood Ejection. Hashirama's Wood Release may be slightly stronger than Madara's, but Onoki is still able to dismantle any wooden justu that Hashirama uses.

Although it has been many years since the Third Raikage's death, he is still considered the most powerful ninja in the history of the Hidden Cloud Village. He possessed near-superhuman strength, speed, durability, reflexes, and endurance, and was able to greatly enhance all of these physical attributes through his Lightning Release Chakra mode. While in this state, the Third Raikage's body is surrounded by lightning chakra, making his body immune to most physical attacks.
The third Raikage was able to single-handedly engage in a stalemate with the fully launched Eight-Tails. In fact, the only injuries he suffered were those he accidentally inflicted on himself. He fought an army of 10,000 ninja for three days until he died. By concentrating his lightning chakra into his hands and fingers, the Third Raikage is able to cut straight through the tailed beast's body like butter. The Third Raikage was able to not only go through Hashirama's wood release using his Lightning Release Chakra Mode, but he was also able to cut the wood straight through with his fingers.

Obito can use Kamui to deal with the release of wood.
Obito became a Kage-level ninja after training with Madara for about a year, and it also helped that he awakened his Mangekyou Sharingan during that time. This gives Obito access to one of anime's best teleportation abilities: Kamui, a space-time ninja. With his left eye, Obito used a short-range version of Kamui to teleport his entire body or specific body parts to the Kamui dimension.
This version of Kamui gave Obito an intangible form. That means the physical attack simply passed through his body. Thanks to the Hashirama cells in his body, Obito is not blinded and can use Kamui as much as he wants. Hashirama's Wood Release can restrain someone and drain their chakra, but requires physical contact first. Thanks to Kamui, Obito is able to phase the Wood Release jutsu that Hashirama throws at him.

Nagato can remove the wood discharge with the Rinnegan
Nagato's Rinnegan may actually have belonged to Madara, but he nonetheless mastered the god-level eyeball Kekkei Genkai. These eyes allow Nagato to summon various beasts, absorb ninjutsu, interact with spirits, and augment his body with mechanized armor and mechanical weapons. Thanks to the Path of Heaven, Nagato was also able to manipulate the forces of attraction and repulsion.
Hashirama's Wood Release can easily defeat Nagato's summons, and since it is a solid substance that also absorbs chakra, it is unclear whether Nagato can absorb Wood Release attacks. That means Nagato can use Asura Path to blast away wood-based justice with ballistic missiles and energy blasts. The Deva Path allows Nagato to repel and break Hashirama's wooden golem and wooden dragon. Since Nagato destroyed the entire Leaf Village with one Almighty Push, he would easily be able to destroy Hashirama's giant wooden statue as well.

Minato can respond to the release of wood at incredible speeds
Minato, the Fourth Hokage, was one of the strongest ninjas the Leaf Village had ever produced, and was considered the fastest ninja in his lifetime. Minato can be said to be the character closest to the speed of light, and this is because he has learned and improved the Thunder God technique. This mastery caused other nations to immediately order their ninjas to flee if they encountered Minato in the field.
Minato throws dozens of kunai engraved with the formula for the Thunder God Technique onto the battlefield. He could instantly teleport to one of his kunai at any time, and apply the formula to any surface by touching it. If Hashirama utilizes his entire Wood Release arsenal on Minato, all he has to do is teleport to avoid all of Hashirama's attacks. If he's fast enough, Minato can teleport behind Hashirama and take him down with a surprise attack.

Hashirama was the only person strong enough to defeat the legendary Madara Uchiha in battle. He was able to defeat Madara's complete Susanoo with his wooden golem, and easily defeated the Nine-Tailed Fox while merging with Madara's Susanoo. Most Naruto fans assume that Itachi is weaker than Madara and would not stand a chance against Hashirama's Wood Release, but Itachi's Susanoo was not only stronger than Madara's, but was also considered invincible.
Itachi's Susanoo wields the Totsuka Blade, a celestial sword that can cut through anything, meaning it can cut through all of Hashirama's Wood Release constructs. His Susanoo also had the Yata Mirror, a mythical shield that could reflect all attacks. This mirror alone is enough to counter all of Hashirama's Wood Release techniques. With enough chakra, Itachi can use Amaterasu to burn the wood Hashirama created, while Hashirama is unable to extinguish Amaterasu's black flame.

Like other members of the Otsutsuki clan, Kaguya wields god-like abilities that would ensure victory under normal circumstances. Even if Hashirama summoned wooden golems or giant wooden statues, Kaguya was able to disintegrate them into protruding bones using her almighty ash bone technique. Even Hashirama's amazing healing powers cannot stop this technique if Kaguya lands a direct hit on him.
