Black Ops 6 Brings Back Some Kind of Last Stand Perk
Hello darkness, my old friend…
There are a whopping 10 Prestige levels to pass, with an additional 1,000 levels added upon reaching the maximum Prestige level. Needless to say, this is an incredibly long grind for dedicated players. We'll show you how Prestige works in Black Ops 6, how it differs from previous titles, and some of the rewards you can earn.
How reputation works in Black Ops 6
Black Ops 6's Prestige, called “Classic Prestige” in-game, functions identically to CoD games prior to MW2019. You can activate Prestige when you reach rank 55 in Multiplayer or Zombies. This will reset your account rank and increase your Prestige score by 1. Doing so will grant you an exclusive emblem with a unique cosmetic reward next to your name.
In Black Ops 6, you can earn Prestige up to 10 times. Reaching Prestige 10 unlocks Master Prestige.
Unlike Prestige in the latest CoD titles. Earning Prestige loses access to unlocked weapons, perks, scorestreaks, and gear.; You'll have to unlock everything again. There are a few rewards you can get from Prestiging that will make the process a little less painful, but keep these in mind before you get started.
What gets reset when I become Prestige?
-
weapon
-
Weapon attachments, camouflages, and badges will remain unlocked.
-
-
perks
-
scoring streak
-
Equipment and field upgrades
What is noteworthy is Weapons will retain the XP and cosmetics they earned when gaining Prestige. So you don't have to unlock attachments or disguises again. The weapons themselves must be re-unlocked through leveling, but any XP earned with them is permanent and carries over between Prestige tiers. GobbleGum obtained from zombies can still be used.
Master Prestige
Once you reach Prestige 10, you can no longer reset your account level. Instead, it is activated. Master Prestige, a system that allows you to achieve level 1,000. Reaching this maximum level will grant you a unique cosmetic reward that Treyarch has not revealed. Master Prestige works effectively like the Prestige system in MW2 and MW3. You don't have access to anything in Master Prestige. It's a long-term grind.
Reward for Fame
Every time you prestige your account, you will receive three rewards:
- Permanent Unlock: You will receive unlock tokens that can be used to permanently unlock any item. Can be used on weapons, perks, and equipment.
- Prestige Cosmetics: A new emblem will appear next to your account name and unlock a unique skin or calling card.
- Prestige Challenge: Each Prestige has a calling card, an animated loading screen, a GobbleGum, and a set of challenges to complete that award XP.
Each Prestige level increases the XP awarded in Daily Challenges. Be sure to complete it on your way to Master Prestige 1,000.
The most notable reward here is Permanent unlock token. Resetting your rank will award you one token that can be used to unlock weapons, perks, gear, and anything else that's normally locked behind account leveling. This unlock is ~ no Prestige again will reset it.
In addition to tokens, you can also earn exclusive profits prestige cosmetics From this grind. For example, Prestige 1 awards zombie-themed character skins, account emblems, animated loading screens, Gobblegum packs, weapon talismans, and stickers. These bonus rewards are unlocked through Prestige Challenges (similar to calling card challenges) or simply by leveling up.
