Otsutsuki is the central plot point of this work. boruto The series has been around since the expansion of the Six Paths Adult Story in the Fourth Ninja War, specifically starting with chapter 670 of the story on April 14, 2014. A few years later, on April 20, 2020, Boruto: Naruto Next Generation From episode 45, the lore surrounding the Otsutsuki clan officially began to expand. Since then, Masashi Kishimoto and Mikio Ikemoto have been slowly giving us more information about this powerful, god-seeking clan of parasitic aliens.
Now, Otsutsuki's last villain is boruto The series delivered was Isshiki, but now a new villain is quietly being set up in the form of Akebi Otsutsuki, Amado's daughter, who could potentially be the series' next big villain after the fall of Shinju Jura.
Boruto: Two Blue Whirlpools Set the Plot of Akebi Otsutsuki's Resurrection
For those of you who don't know, Akebi was officially introduced. boruto It was officially revealed in episode 75. V jump Issue 1, November 20, 2022. A lot of information about her has since been revealed. Akebi is Amado's biological daughter, and at some point, she became terminally ill. Amado and Akebi underwent various treatments, but eventually all doctors gave up on her and she was pronounced dead. At this time, genius scientist Amado decided to create a new clone body so that she could have a completely new body instead of curing the disease. During the nine-month process of creating this clone body, which later became known as Delta, Akebi officially died.
“Sorry, I got sidetracked. What I'm trying to say is that there is hope in the power of Otsutsuki. It makes the impossible possible. Like bringing my daughter Akebi back.” — Amado explains his goal to bring Akebi back to life. Boruto Chapter #75
Since then, Amado has been desperately trying to bring her back, betting on Otsutsuki Karma. By planting Akebi's DNA into the karma built in Kawaki's body, Amado hopes that Kawaki will plant this karma in Delta's body and the data will be slowly extracted. This allows Akebi's soul to be resurrected in a new clone body created by Amado, bringing her back.
On paper, this plan seems absolutely foolproof and could officially bring Amado's character arc full circle. But dealing with karma and resurrection is playing God, something neither Masashi Kishimoto nor Mikio Ikemoto would normalize in their stories. The risk of using Karmic Resurrection is Otsutsuki-fication, and even if Isshiki's soul is not directly connected to Akebi's Karma, other souls, such as Shibai Otsutsuki's soul or an entirely different Otsutsuki, could potentially be involved. Akebi himself is starting to turn into a full-fledged Otsutsuki, which may make him the next big villain of the story.

After 12 years, Boruto officially welcomed Kakashi's replacement.
Kakashi rose to become the Sixth Hokage and then retired, but he finally had a successor in Boruto.
“That's what Isshiki was trying to do with the vessel. And my attempts to recreate Akebi using clones were almost identical. My efforts to recreate the personality that crossed over to the realm of gods were only made possible by the miracle of divine karma.” — Amado explains how to bring Akebi back to life. Boruto Chapter #75
Why Akebi could be the next biggest villain after Shinju Jura
As confirmed in Boruto: Two Blue Swirls In Chapter 35 on June 18, 2026, Kawaki will officially implant his karma into the Akebi clone body after the fall of Jura. Once the Shinju are all dealt with, Kawaki will close the deal and grant this new karma to the clone body. He also tells Amado that if these new clones eventually become a threat along the same lines as Otsutsuki, he will not hesitate to kill both Amado and Akebi's new bodies as well. This is the author's tease for the next major villain in the series.
Kawaki: If your resurrected daughter is Otsutsuki, I will kill you without exception.
Perhaps: If Akebi is truly resurrected as Otsutsuki, you can do whatever you want. But I will fight back with all my might.
— An exchange between Kawaki and Amado that foreshadows the birth of a new Otsutsuki
Now that only the final two members of the Shinju remain, Boruto officially faces his next big villain. Shinju Jura is incredibly powerful, but we already know that his death is getting closer with each passing chapter. new issue Boruto: Two Blue SwirlsIt officially launched on May 20, 2026. V jump Issue 7 deals with the death of Shinju Hidari, leaving Jura alone. So the follow-up issue could focus on Jura and officially end him once and for all. Immediately after that, the focus shifts to Code and Akebi, setting her up as the next villain in the Boruto series, which I'm very much looking forward to.
Boruto: Two blue vortices can explore the connection between Akebi and Shibai
After Shinju's death, Boruto: Two Blue Swirls As we bring Akebi into the fold, we will delve deeper into the Otsutsuki legend. There is a good chance that her body will be used as a vessel by someone like Shivaye. Since the Otsutsuki legend has expanded, Shibai is a name directly linked to Amado. In fact, it was Amado who discovered the remains of Shivaye's body, and it was Amado who planted his DNA in the bodies of Kara members such as Ada, Demon Code, and Kashin Koji.
For this plot to come full circle, Shibai needs to connect with Amado in some way, and the perfect way to do that would be for his consciousness to take root in Akebi's body after Akebi returns. This is just one of many possibilities, but the future holds incredibly interesting storylines. Boruto: Two Blue Swirls We absolutely cannot wait to be explored.
Now all focus is boruto The comics are in the last two remaining new stocks, and with them comes the code. Once these three threats are dealt with, they can occur within two scopes: boruto In the series, Akebi will be the center of attention and the entire plot surrounding Amado will also be addressed. As seen in the story prologue of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Chapter#1 in Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 23, May 9, 2016, only after these plot points are concluded can the story move to its ultimate climax, which sees Boruto Uzumaki clash with Kawaki. In both cases, Boruto is ramping up the intensity, and I'm looking forward to seeing how this exciting story focusing on old Tsuki develops further.
