After 12 years, Boruto officially welcomed Kakashi's replacement.

Officially introduced in naruto In Chapter 4, October 25, 1999, Kakashi Hatake was the leader of Team 7, who became one of the most important characters in the entire series. As Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura's teacher, Kakashi played an important role in their overall upbringing and shaping them into the ninja they are today. At the same time, Kakashi's own character arc was incredibly well done and perfectly written by series creator Kishimoto. With the conclusion of episode 700 of the Naruto series in the 50th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump on November 14, 2014, Kakashi Hatake's role officially ended.

In the years following the war, boruto Kakashi officially became the Sixth Hokage before handing over the position to Naruto Uzumaki, who became the Seventh Hokage. Unfortunately, despite being an active ninja, Kakashi wasn't very focused. boruto. That means we have a decent replacement for Konoha's Copy Ninja in the form of Sarada Uchiha, the next legendary Uchiha in the making. With the immense power of the Mangekyou Sharingan, a kind heart, and even the will to become Hokage, Sarada is the perfect successor to Kakashi Hatake.

Sarada's Mangekyou Sharingan and maturity make her the next Kakashi

Kakashi Hatake was an accomplished ninja with tremendous power at his disposal. He was considered Minato's best student, and many, including Tsunade and Jiraiya, considered Kakashi worthy of becoming the village's next Hokage, which he eventually achieved. In battle, Kakashi was strong enough to match Konoha's strongest jonin, but even more than that, he could take on Akatsuki's strongest shinobi. As Naruto's Fourth Shinobi War continued, Kakashi's overall strength continued to grow significantly, displaying strength comparable to that of Obito Uchiha in battle.

What really made Kakashi special was his use of the Mangekyo Sharingan. Kakashi received the Sharingan in Naruto chapter #243 from Obito Uchiha just before he was crushed by the Iwakakure shinobi. Afterwards, in the 46th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump, released on October 29, 2012, Naruto evolved his Sharingan into the Mangekyou Sharingan in episode 605, which became his signature ability later in the story. Combined with the fact that he was unaffected by the Uchiha Curse of Hatred, it made him a unique ninja, one that only a select few could hope to compete with.

“I told you, don't be in such a hurry. I don't have as much chakra as you, but I'm ready now. My Mangekyou Sharingan!” — Hatake Kakashi, Naruto Chapter 286

Sarada Next Kakashi Boruto

Sarada Uchiha, one of the next generation ninjas and the heroine of the Boruto series, is in that sense the perfect replacement for Kakashi. Like Kakashi, Sarada also possesses the powerful Mangekyo Sharingan and is similarly unaffected by the Uchiha curse of hatred. This means that both Kakashi and Sarada are kind users of the Mangekyou Sharingan who have never fallen into darkness. This can also be combined with the tremendous maturity they both showed as responsible ninja of the village. Kakashi Hatake is one of the most mature, calm, and respected ninja in Konoha. Sarada Uchiha, on the other hand, has shown these same traits on several occasions. Despite being surrounded by careless characters such as Kawaki and Boruto, Sarada is always calm and composed, and exudes the same aura as Kakashi in various situations.

Sarada: I've decided. I also want to become the village's Hokage like Seven!

Boruto: If you become Hokage, I will be your bodyguard and support you!

— Boruto and Sarada exchange in Boruto Chapter #11

How to compare Sarada no Ohirume and Kakashi Kamui

Sarada Mangekyo Sharingan Ohirume Jutsu

Another unique similarity between Sarada and Kakashi is their Mangekyo Sharingan ability. What has surprised fans is that both Sarada and Kakashi have a somewhat similar Mangekyo Sharingan jutsu. In the case of Kakashi, he was revealed to have the power of Kamui in the 42nd issue of Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump and the Mangekyou Sharingan, which appeared in episode 276 of Naruto on October 3, 2005. Using Kamui's abilities, Kakashi can open a portal from space-time to the Kamui dimension. Anything targeted by Kamui, including the surrounding space, is warped into dimensions with incredible force, and even powerful S-class ninjas like Deidara or later gigantic figures like the Gedo Statue cannot withstand the pressure Kamui generates.

“This jutsu targets not only my arm, but also the space around it! Can a jutsu like this exist? This is bad!” — Deidara explains Naruto Chapter 286 Kamui.

In the case of Sarada Uchiha, her jutsu is different but plays along the same lines. Sarada's Mangekyo Sharingan jutsu is known as Ohirume and is capable of creating up to four black holes, whose size and power can be easily controlled. This black hole has tremendous gravity, and Sarada is free to choose between being hit by this gravity and surviving it entirely. Gravity is such that not even the powerful Shinju can escape, and Sarada eventually explodes the black hole, reducing everything that is sucked into smithereens. In terms of application, these two abilities are very similar and may be the two most overwhelmingly offensive Mangekyou Sharingan abilities ever seen in the story, establishing another major similarity between the two.

“The restraints have been released? What's going on? The four irons are gathering in one place. No, they're being sucked in. Those eyes, that's the Mangekyo Sharingan!” — Mitsuki explains Sarada Uchiha's Mangekyo Sharingan Awakening, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter #20.

Sarada Uchiha becomes Hokage like Kakashi

Lastly, the biggest similarity between Sarada Uchiha and Kakashi is that she aspires to become Hokage. Kakashi was already the village's Hokage after the Fourth Ninja War. After Tsunade stepped down, Kakashi became the Sixth Hokage of Konoha. Meanwhile, Sarada is eager to follow in Naruto Uzumaki's footsteps, which is very likely to happen at the end of the series. Even though Naruto Uzumaki has been the Seventh Hokage for quite some time and that position is currently held by Shikamaru, at some point Sarada will step up and take the position for herself. In doing so, she will become the village's first Uchiha Hokage, and that is what we are eagerly waiting to see in the story.

“I will become the village's Hokage. My role model is not you, but the Seventh Lord.” — Sarada Uchiha to Shikamaru Nara, Boruto: Two Blue Whirlpools, Chapter 1

Kakashi Hatake may not have a major role in Boruto, but we're very happy that Sarada is making up for it. Interestingly, the creator of the Boruto series previously revealed that he was planning on giving Kakashi Hatake a major role later on. Copy Ninja hasn't appeared yet, but I hope he does soon.
