Shortly after the Disney Lorcana Attack of the Vine Lorecast concluded, a collector booster box product listing appeared on the Ravensburger website for the Q1 2027 Lorcana set, Into the Inkdark. At the time, this appeared on the official Lorcana Discord and the listing was quickly taken down, leading players to question its legitimacy.
The term Collector Booster has a heavy connotation due to the way high-value products are implemented in Magic: The Gathering. Most in that community disagree with packs that contain exclusive and rare artwork and effectively split all sets at a low price.
Currently, Ravensburger is not providing any details about how collector boosters will work in Disney Lorcana, but is asking for patience and assuring fans that the product implementation will not affect existing booster packs.
Collector Boosters Appear in Disney Lorcana
In a statement provided to TheGamer and posted on the Lorcana TCG Discord, Ravensburger confirmed the existence of the Collector Booster product, but no changes are currently being made to the Booster Pack product. Ravensburger wants fans to be assured that this new product is expected to enhance rather than detract from the experience of opening a Lorcana card. You can read Ravensburger's full statement below.
I'd like to tell you about an image that briefly appeared on our website earlier this week. This image features the “Collector Booster” package for the upcoming Into the Inkdark set. We know this term comes with expectations in the TCG space, and we planned to share the images with appropriate context.
While we can't share full details at this time, we want to reassure fans that we have no intention of detracting from the booster pack experience they loved in Wilds Unknown and that we aim to improve this experience with future set and product releases. Since launch, our goal has always been to do the right thing for our fans, and we hope this principle will be at the center of every decision we make.
We're excited to share details about Collector Boosters and what they mean for the future of the Disney Locana Trading Card Game later this summer.

Context is the key to new SKUs
Product leaks are never easy, and as Ravensburger emphasized in a statement, he was unable to provide any additional context beyond the images shown online, but he wants to put players at ease.
The community largely assumed that the Disney Lorcana Collector Booster would be a copy of the only notable collector booster product in Magic: The Gathering. Unsurprisingly, the response to this was quite bad, and there was very little support for such a product, especially considering that Disney Lorcana delivered a fairly slim offering with the first 13 sets.
We shouldn't be immediately afraid of new products and innovations, but we completely understand. why Lorcana players are reluctant to have collector boosters be a part of the game.
For now, we're waiting for more information about how Collector Boosters will work in Disney Lorcana and hope this doesn't cause as much division in the Magic community as it does. For a game that isn't about breaking the pack for profit, it's a shame to see the mantra being abandoned just as the game seems to be gaining pace and popularity.
The good news is that we won't have to wait long to find out more, as they promise news will come out “later this summer.”
