After a successful launch on Nintendo Switch, Pokemon Champions makes its way to mobile devices today.
The release of the Nintendo Switch game has revealed new abilities for the new Mega Evolutions in Pokemon Legends: ZA. These included Dragonize from Mega Feraligatr, Mega Sol from Mega Meganium, and Mold Breaker from Mega Emboar.
Now, with the mobile release of Pokemon Champions and the release of v1.1.0, 11 new Mega Evolutions have appeared in the game and with this we find out what abilities they have, two of which are new to the Pokemon series.
Two new abilities have been added to the world of Pokémon.
Pokemon Champions v1.1.0 adds 11 new Mega Evolutions: Mega Eelektross, Pyroar, Scolipede, Scrafty, Malamar, Barbaracle, Dragalge, Staraptor, Falkinks, Raichu X, and Raichu Y. This is the first time these Pokémon have appeared in a competitive game, so this is the first time we've seen their abilities, and two of them are completely new.
Mega Eelektross just received the Elevate ability, levitating on steroids. This gives you the same immunity as Levitate, but sprinkles a little Moxie in there for good measure. Mega Pyroar's new ability, Fire Mane, turns it into a STAB beast, increasing the power of Fire-type skills by 50%.
You can check out all the new abilities below.

|
Mega Raichu Y |

Other than the two new abilities, there aren't any major surprises. Malamar keeping Contrary means he becomes a force to be reckoned with, and giving it to Staraptor means he becomes a threat through Close Combat.
Including these 11, there are now 11 Mega Evolutions that can officially receive abilities. These are Absol Z, Garchomp Z, Lucario Z, Darkrai, Baxcalibur, Golisopod, Magearna, Heatran, Tatsugiri, Zeraora, and Zygarde. Some of them definitely have what it takes to shake up the meta.
