There were a lot of announcements in today's Nintendo Direct, but one of the biggest surprises was Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, which finally confirmed the long-rumored DLC.
As if the past week in gaming news wasn't busy enough, thanks to PlayStation's jam-packed Triple-A-led showcase, a slew of surprisingly great announcements at Summer Game Fest, and Xbox's powerful, Spyro-reviving event, Nintendo decided that none of us deserved a break and suddenly announced a Direct. And with the Treehouse following, it seemed big.
Going into the Direct, we didn't have too many ideas about what would be announced, other than obvious choices like The Duskbloods and rumored titles like the Zelda remake that leaked a few months ago. When Dragon's Dogma 2 came out and both the port and expansion pack were confirmed, it was quite a surprise.

Dragon's Dogma 2 finally releases expansion pack
It has long been rumored that Dragon's Dogma 2 would release a snow-themed expansion in the future, which was surprisingly confirmed in today's Nintendo Direct. Following the release of the Onimusha port, Dragon's Dogma 2 emerged with a new version of the game, Dark Arisen, which came with the much-awaited expansion pack.

Do you like Crimson Desert? Then you'll love Dragon's Dogma 2.
Both Dragon's Dogma 2 and Crimson Desert are unique.
As we've all suspected for some time, the DLC will take us to the snowy regions of Norgan, where we'll be able to see a few things. For anyone worried about the DLC only coming to Switch 2, it's likely that it was released as part of Switch 2 and will be hitting all other platforms as well.

Nintendo has become a master at making announcements on random Tuesdays.
