Overgeared is a popular cartoon series in Korea. This story was originally created as a web novel by Saenal and was serialized on Kakao Page for several years from November 2014 to April 2024. The manga itself has been adapted by Redice Studio since April 2020 and is still ongoing. Fans of the manga will be very happy to know that it's finally getting an anime. It has been officially confirmed that Overgeared is being adapted by Japanese studio JC Staff. An exact release date hasn't been revealed, but we now know that it's scheduled for release in October 2026. This means that launch is only a few months away. For this big reveal, a teaser trailer was also released to get fans excited, and surprisingly, the anime adaptation looks quite interesting.

Solo Leveling was a step in the right direction for the comic series to grow and shine outside of its native Korea. Now, fans look forward to more amazing manga series, especially some of Studio Redice's blockbuster hits, being turned into anime. Aside from Overgeared, other series have already been confirmed for anime adaptations, the biggest of which is Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint. ORV's anime will be released in 2027, exciting thousands of fans. Tomb Raider King is another series from Redice, and the anime is scheduled to be released sooner in July 2026.
Slowly but steadily, comics are growing significantly, and more stories are being adapted. The future of Redice Studio's work is certainly bright, and we hope to see more amazing adaptations like Solo Leveling instead of their lackluster and rushed work.
