See, horror games love one thing more than anything else. Putting very attractive people into life-threatening situations and asking them to recover from them later. Until Dawn 2 absolutely continues that tradition. The sequel's cast is filled with Netflix stars, horror veterans, gaming icons, and at least a few people who look like they've already survived the Haunted Forest once.
We basically know nothing about the actual plot. This feels honest about the brand's take on a game built around secrets and everyone making the worst decisions under pressure, but the cast reveal alone already says a lot about the tone of the sequel. So we'll spend 10 hours desperately trying to survive before we all inevitably become attached to the characters. Here are all the confirmed actors and what you know about Until Dawn 2 so far.
Andy Joo
Andie Ju is best known for her beef. This means she already has experience surviving extremely stressful situations caused by other people's terrible decisions. Great prep for Until Dawn.
Her performance in Beef stood out because she felt incredibly grounded amidst all the growing chaos. This is exactly the kind of energy that an energetic horror ensemble desperately needs. Instead of immediately racing into a dark basement just because someone heard a strange noise, they have to react to scary events like real people do.

16 Celebrities Who Play Dungeons & Dragons
Matt Mercer, Joe MGaniello, and Ashley Johnson are some famous personalities who love slaying dragons.
tanner buchanan
Tanner Buchanan became a breakout star with Cobra Kai. There, he spent several seasons fighting people, having breakdowns, and managing both at the same time.
He also starred in He's All That, proving that he can survive a modern teen drama that can be harder than surviving a horror game. Buchanan has a very specific 'looking cool while stressed' energy that feels genetically engineered for interactive horror.
Janina Gavankar
Janina Gavankar has one of those professions where every time you look her up you realize she is into it all. True Blood, The Morning Show, yes, Star Wars Battlefront 2.
She's worked consistently across sci-fi, fantasy, action, horror, and popular TV genres, making the cast instantly more serious. Additionally, she naturally has the air of someone who knows more than everyone else in the room, which is always valuable in horror media.
Sarah Catherine Hook
Sarah Catherine Hook has become one of the most recognizable and up-and-coming names in modern horror and thriller television. Between First Kill and The White Lotus, she developed a strong reputation for her polished and slightly unsettling performances.
She also says something incredibly bad is about to happen with this abundance of holiday energy, and fans of The White Lotus will absolutely understand this.
Kim Ji-ah
Through XO Kitty, Kim Ji-ah quickly became a fan favorite thanks to her charisma and complex social dynamics. To be honest, this is basically the entire foundation of Until Dawn as a franchise.
Half the tension in this game comes from the monsters. The other half comes from attractive young adults who make eye contact after someone says something destructive on a plane.

10 great games to play all summer

Hannah Keppel
Another Cobra Kai alum, Hannah Kepple, is best known for her role as Moon, one of the few characters on the show that feels consistently functional.
That alone makes her overqualified for horror games. Kepple has a very natural and likable screen presence, which tends to make audiences quickly become attached to the character, which is dangerous in a game where survival is never guaranteed.
Gavin Leatherwood
Gavin Leatherwood became a favorite on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, where he played Nicholas Scratch, one of TV's most offensive and charming supernatural disasters.
Leatherwood already feels strangely perfect for a horror film. He has experience with dark fantasy, emotionally messy ensemble casts, cursed environments, and scenes entirely lit by ominous blue lighting. At this point, Until Dawn honestly feels like a natural career progression.
raymond lee
Raymond Lee is best known for helming the Quantum Leap reboot, which forced him to bounce between sci-fi, emotional drama, comedy, and existential crisis each week.
He also appeared in Top Gun: Maverick, which means he officially joins a very exclusive category of actors who have gone from military fighters to supernatural terrorists. An incredibly flexible resume path.
Dacre Montgomery
Dacre Montgomery has already mastered the art of always thinking deeply through his role as Billy in Stranger Things.
Seriously, even before the supernatural monsters showed up, Billy walked around like he personally knew where horror soundtracks came from. Montgomery brings an intensity to basically every role she takes on, making Until Dawn feel almost scientifically designed.
He also played the Red Ranger in 2017's Power Rangers movie, which brought him some whimsical drama and massive CGI chaos. Very transferable skills.
Spencer Moore II
Spencer Moore II has steadily built recognition through projects such as Brilliant Minds and All American: Homecoming.
Compared to some of the louder personalities in the cast, Moore tends to bring a more realistic and understated acting style that is essential to horror stories. If all characters immediately go into maximum panic mode, the whole thing falls apart. You want at least one person to respond to a haunted situation with the energy of someone who has been truly inconvenienced throughout the evening.
