There's an explosive device that Bond must forcefully disarm, and since he's no expert in the bomb defusal process, he'll have to hope that luck is on his side. Thankfully, we got the experience you and Bond might lack in 007 First Light.

How to defuse a bomb in 007 First Light

Take out the battery.
Take out the motherboard.
Pull out the wire.
Pull the red and green wires.

To disarm the bomb, you'll need to quickly remove the battery and motherboard. Here you can choose one of three wires. However, it doesn't really matter whether you choose the red, blue or green lines, a combination of the two will defuse the bomb.

What happens if you don't defuse the bomb in 007 First Light?

When the 30-second timer expires, a blinding light flashes and a game over screen immediately appears saying “Bond is dead.” There is no secret cutscene showing Bond getting blown up, and you can simply hit retry to try the defuse again.

Can you disarm the second bomb in 007 First Light?

Unfortunately, the second bomb cannot be defused. This is a surprising twist to the mission, and no matter how quickly you disarm the first bomb, you wouldn't have known about the second. Detonating the second bomb is part of the mission and the outcome cannot be changed.
