The Devil Fruit's mythical Joan class is getting a lot of attention from One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda, and it's something we all want to see. Mythical Zoans gives Oda a great deal of creativity, and it's clear that the author loves experimenting with different mythical creatures from different mythologies of the world and incorporating them into One Piece. In the officially released Chapter 1179 of One Piece and the 19th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump on April 6, 2026, Eiichiro Oda officially introduced Akumanomi, one of the most powerful Devil Fruits that ever existed in One Piece. This devil fruit is possessed by Nero and Imu, and through it, they can transform into the world's devil itself. Considering that this ability does not suit the Logia or Paramecia classes and allows the transformation of mythical beings, it is best suited for the Devil Fruit Mythic Zoan class.
Akuma no Mi is incredibly powerful as it can transform Nerona Imu into a demon. Contracts also allow you to utilize the unique power of Divine Dominion, which grants you a variety of abilities. Imu can harness the power of divine domination to turn anyone into a demon slave with enhanced powers through techniques such as Domi Reversi. Imu has also shown the ability to make various contracts with his subordinates and grant them powers such as infinite regeneration, immortality, and superhuman strength through covenants.
“Omen is my military power. It is the power that resides within all living things.” — Nerona Imu, One Piece Chapter #1181
Best of all, Imu's Akuma no Mi allows you to harness the power of Omen or Maki. As Imu explains, Omen is his military power and a very lethal ability to exist in the world. It appears as black flames and can be molded into various weapons such as bullets, bombs, and even knives. As clearly seen in One Piece Chapter 1180, which was officially released on April 20, 2026 in Issue 21 of Weekly Shonen Jump, these black flames are incredibly strong and can be devastating to anyone with just a few hits.
In Episode 1182 of One Piece, another mythical Joan Devil Fruit was revealed, and it was none other than Hito Hitonomi, model: Zaza. This is very similar to the power Luffy wields. Only in this case, the divine being is Jaja and not Nikah. As confirmed by Saint Killingham in Chapter 1182 of One Piece, which was officially released in the 24th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump on May 10, 2026, Zaza is a rain god who is summoned to pray for rain.
“It appears to the tune of praying for rain…Jaja, the god of rain!” — Saint Killingham, One Piece Episode 1182

One Piece: Ranking of all gods of the Void Century and their strongest abilities
In One Piece's Void Century, there were many gods, each with overwhelming abilities.
The Jar Jar Devil Fruit allows the user to transform into a divine being capable of raining down massive showers or causing serious floods. In a way, it allows the user to manipulate water and even grants them a body made of rainwater. This means that this Devil Fruit ability can essentially nullify all other Devil Fruit powers that exist in the One Piece world, making it a top-level power in its own right. This also means that it is one of the most powerful mythical creatures in the entire series.
“We were born higher than the rain clouds. Water falling from the sky? It’s a mysterious fear! After the D and Nika people, the most common thing that warned us was the boogeyman… In the underworld, a monster called the Rain God is spraying water over our heads!” — Castle Killingham explaining the terrifying power of the rain god Zaza in One Piece Chapter 1182

Eiichiro Oda establishes two more legendary mythological animals after Elbaf.
One Piece's Elbaf Arc has already introduced us to many of the powerful mythical Zoan Devil Fruits. In addition to Nero and Imu's Akumanomi and the Rain God Jaja Fruit, Loki's Ryuryunomi (model: Nidhoggr) is also worth considering. This is the ability to destroy the world previously wielded by Elbaf's war god, and in a way, it is the power of a god in itself. At the same time, there is also a model to consider: Risu Risu no Mi, Ratatoskr, which grants you the legendary squirrel powers, powerful enough to permanently freeze anything you desire. These two abilities certainly add a lot to One Piece's already expanding Mythical Zoan class, but more abilities are expected to be added in the coming months.
With the existence of Rain God Zaza confirmed in One Piece Chapter 1182, we now know that all other gods mentioned in Chapter 287, including the Forest God and Earth God, are also somewhere in the world of One Piece. Following Elbaf, two more gods will be revealed in One Piece Chapters 1182 and 287, which is definitely exciting for all of us fans. We'd love to see Eiichiro Oda translate the concept of mythical animals into the meat of Final Saga.
