Naruto Uzumaki is the main character of Masashi Kishimoto. naruto series and is a character that is incredibly loved by fans. Naruto defined the life of a generation and continues to inspire countless people around the world. His story is one that sees him grow from a boy with limited talents to a man who conquers the entire world and makes everyone recognize him.
That said, Naruto wasn't always the capable Seventh Hokage he is today. In fact, in the process, he faced many difficult situations and suffered quite a few failures. But that failure was a part of who he is today and defined his entire existence.

Couldn't defeat Kimimaro
Naruto Uzumaki has fought many opponents over the years, but few have stopped him or brought him to a stalemate in battle. Kimimaro, one of Orochimaru's subordinates, did just that. When Naruto went out to find Sasuke, Kimimaro stopped him and the two engaged in a fierce battle, but the young Uzumaki was unable to break through his defenses.
Although he wanted to go to Sasuke immediately, Naruto failed. It wasn't until Rock Lee arrived that Naruto was able to track down Sasuke once again, and if that hadn't happened he could have potentially lost the fight.

Sasuke couldn't be stopped.
One of Naruto's notable failures throughout his life was losing his fight with Sasuke, which resulted in him leaving Konoha for good. This happened towards the end of the first part of the Naruto series. After gaining the power of the curse mark from Orochimaru, Sasuke sought more power to kill his brother Itachi Uchiha.
Sasuke left with the Sound Five members and was chased by the Konoha 11 members. Eventually, Naruto clashed with Sasuke in an attempt to bring him to the village, but failed.

Gaara save failed
Shortly after the two and a half year time skip in Naruto, the Akatsuki began to make their move and their target was none other than the Jinchuriki of the world. Gaara, One Tail's jinchuriki, was their first target. Deidara and Sasori attacked the hidden sand village and kidnapped him. Immediately word reached Konoha and Team Naruto immediately left on a rescue mission. Despite their best efforts, they were not successful in saving Gaara's life, and Gaara had to be brought back to life later.

Jiraiya is one of Naruto's legendary Sannin, and his iconic Sage mode returns in the latest release.

I couldn't defeat Orochimaru.
Naruto Uzumaki returned to the village after the time skip, having become incredibly powerful. Soon after, he began to go on missions again and was given the opportunity to rescue Sasuke when he faced Orochimaru at Tenchi Bridge. Despite overpowering Orochimaru in his frenzy, he was unable to defeat him and bring Sasuke back.
In fact, it was Sasuke who stopped him and showed him the true power difference that existed between the two. Naruto was unable to defeat Orochimaru or his subordinates.

I couldn't protect Neji
Neji was one of the members of the Konoha 11 and a genius of the Hyuga clan. He was an incredibly powerful ninja who wielded the power of the Byakugan. Neji was known as a genius since he was born. In fact, despite being a sectarian, he was learning various techniques from the main family.
As time passes, Neji becomes a Jonin and meets his end in the Fourth Ninja War. The man who led him to war could not save him from death. Neji's death was a reminder to Naruto that he couldn't protect everyone and that if he didn't have enough strength to protect his friends, he would have to walk over their dead bodies.

Obito save failed
Obito Uchiha was one of the most important people in the world. naruto. Although he started out as a boy with the goal of becoming Hokage, he eventually became a villain and became the main culprit of the Fourth Great Ninja War.
Despite this, Naruto never lost faith in him and brought him to his good side even after his defeat. From then on, Obito helped the Shinobi Union, but eventually died. The fact that he died in front of Naruto shows that Naruto failed to keep him safe.

Not being able to become the strongest
Naruto Uzumaki became the village's Hokage and aimed to surpass all previous Hokages. It's fair to say that by the end of the story, he's already achieved that in a beautiful way. Naruto was also the strongest shinobi in the world at this point, but that didn't last long.
In the Boruto era, Naruto can barely fight beings like Otsutsuki. Furthermore, he eventually loses Kurama's powers and becomes much weaker than the other ninja around him. There is no doubt that Naruto did not maintain the peak of his powers long before he reached old age and that is certainly his failure.
