May 2026 was a strong month for video games, with the release of titles such as LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight and 007: First Light. We won't see many new big Triple-A games in June. That said, this month still promises to be a solid one.
There are a ton of titles coming out from a variety of developers and publishers. These games span a variety of genres, so most players will be able to find something to suit their tastes. Here's a selection of the most exciting titles released in June.

Starseeker is not considered a sequel to 2019's Astroneer, but is set in the same universe. In this game, you play as the crew of a massive space station called ESS Starseeker. But it's not just about wandering around the station. Fly by jet to various planets alone or with a crew. Once you enter this world, you have limited time to explore, complete tasks, and gather resources before returning home.

Go Bold: The Best Space Exploration Game
Anyone who wants to explore the vast universe will definitely need this game!
So it's a little different from the original Astroneer, and it seems a bit more intense and less cozy. Plus, there are specific missions instead of endless exploration. But the visuals and animation feel very familiar.

You won't have to wait long to get your hands on the remake of the first Gothic game, which was released on June 5th. In this title, you take control of a prisoner trapped in a valley surrounded by a magical barrier. You must try to survive in this dangerous place and learn more about the Wall.
The original game was released in 2001 and is considered a very influential RPG, especially for its open world design and use of player choice. This remake promises to remain faithful to the original, while adding new quests and significantly improving visual quality. If this is achieved, it will be one of the best action RPGs of the year.

Some games include trains, but not Denshattack! do. This is a game where you take exclusive control of a train and race through Japan at high speeds. The story is set in a future not far from the Japanese version, where local railways have been abandoned. They have been taken over by underground gangs who use them to compete with each other.
As you can guess, you are one of the people who use this railway. In each level, you fly across numerous train tracks, trying to perform impressive stunts, earn points, complete objectives or win races. This game is definitely very quirky and unique. In fact, it's hard to think of a game like this to date. This, along with the game's beautiful art style, is its main selling point.

NBA: The Run

release date |
June 9, 2026 |

system |
PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S |
NBA: The Run brings back memories of the popular NBA Streets game. Because it offers fast-paced arcade basketball with a street style backdrop. So, you can see famous players such as Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, and James Harden playing on street courts in casual clothes.
It's not an entirely original concept, as it's clearly a spiritual successor to NBA Streets, but it's been a while since there's been a licensed basketball game of this type. Whether it will be the best NBA Streets game remains to be seen, but it is exciting.

Voidling Bound is a creature collection title, a type of game made popular by the Pokémon series. However, this game is very different from your typical Pokemon adventure. Ultimately, this game is also a third-person action title where you combine your mind with a creature (the Voidling) and take direct control of it.
Once you take control, you'll take to the field and battle enemy creatures using their unique abilities. You use these abilities against the parasitic force known as the Legion. You must prevent them from taking over by eliminating their forces and eliminating areas of influence. To do so, you'll need to engage in deep upgrades to the game and build systems to make your Voidlings as effective as possible. It certainly seems like a unique entry in the creature collection genre.

Elliot's Adventures: Millennium Tales
|
developer |
Square Enix/Claytechworks |
|---|---|
|
release date |
June 18, 2026 |
|
system |
PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 |
Octopath Traveler fans may find The Adventure of Elliot: The Millennium Tales familiar, as it shares a similar 2D pixel art style. This is no coincidence, as both are 2D-HD Square Enix games. However, unlike Octopath Traveler, The Adventures of Elliot is not turn-based. Instead, it has a real-time action combat system, but it is still an RPG.
The main character is Elliot, who must travel through different time periods to save the princess. So the story uses a lot of time travel, giving it a Chrono Trigger vibe. If it were even half as good as those classic RPGs, it would be a truly amazing game.

Witchspire

Envar Games |

June 10, 2026 |

PC |
There are a lot of open world survival games out there these days, but Witchspire stands out by putting you in the role of a witch. This means you can cast spells and fly around on a broomstick.
Along with these, the game also includes more traditional survival game elements such as resource gathering and crafting. There are many other mobs you can fight. So overall it looks like a solid survival game experience with the added magic bonus, making it even more unique.

The Star Fox series seemed to do well in the 1990s, 2000s, and even the 2010s, but then went into a long period of dormancy. This is about to change with the release of a game simply titled Star Fox. It is a remake of Star Fox 64, which was released in the late 90s and was very popular. This new version promises to be very similar when it comes to level layout and tone. However, the visuals have been greatly upgraded.
For those of you who haven't played the original, it's a rail shooter game where you control a ship. You can fire your own shots as you make your way through the levels while avoiding enemy fire. The original was excellent for its smooth gameplay and charming banter between characters. Starfox in 2026 is expected to offer something like this.
