playstation Sony recently confirmed that the next State of Play showcase will be happening soon, so fans have something exciting to look forward to. PlayStation State of Play events provide updates on anticipated games, but often throw in some nice surprises. Not every State of Play showcase features a surprise reveal, but recent rumors suggest that the company may have a few secrets up its sleeve.
There's no way to know for sure what games will be at the next Sony State of Play, but we can expect a few major titles. Aside from the more obvious contenders, there are rumored projects and anticipated remakes that are getting gamers buzzing about what summer announcements might be coming soon. Summer has traditionally been one of the main seasons for releases, and we hope that trend continues this State of Play. The showcase airs on June 2nd at 2pm PT/5pm ET..

This was a very bold statement without a lot of evidence, but it would be huge if Santa Monica Studio proved these claims to be true at State of Play.
Two other rumors have recently piqued the interest of many gamers. It claims: infamous A remake is in the works and a secret FromSoftware pirate game may be on the way. FromSoftware currently has Nintendo exclusives. With the game not releasing until 2028, releasing a second trailer this early might be getting ahead of the curve. It's still entirely possible that Nanjiani is wrong, and Naughty Dog may actually be eyeing a 2027 release. That would make it more likely that we'll see a new trailer at State of Play, but only time will tell.
