Two Blue Vortex Reveals Sasuke and Itachi's Official Heirs

Boruto: Two Blue Swirls Chapter 34 has been officially released. V jump Issue 7, May 20, 2026. This new chapter in the Boruto series is incredibly exciting, and one that I and many other Boruto fans have been looking forward to for a month. Especially since last month marked the conclusion of the Zhang Mamushi arc. As Ikemoto and Kishimoto prepare for exciting events, including Sarada's critical condition after overdosing on her Mangekyou Sharingan jutsu Ohhirume and Inojin's great sacrifice, fans around the world gather to see where the story will head.

Everything was impressively well explained, but what particularly surprised me was that Sarada Uchiha's character arc was moved forward and an official connection was now made between her, her uncle Itachi Uchiha, and her father Sasuke Uchiha. Now Sarada has officially become Itachi and Sasuke's true heir in a unique way. Boruto: Two Blue Swirls Chapter 34

In episode 34 of Boruto: Two Blue Whirlpools, Sakura confirms Sarada Uchiha as Itachi and Sasuke's successor.

Sarada is the future of the Uchiha clan in the Boruto series, and was created by Masashi Kishimoto primarily to serve as the heroine of the Boruto franchise. Over the years, her character has gone through many twists and turns, and the biggest problem her character has had has been the lack of explanation and character development. The biggest complaint about Sarada Uchiha's character arc in the first part of the Boruto series is that she is not as developed as Boruto Uzumaki and Kawaki. The two have central roles in Part 1 of the story, with all other characters pushed to the side.

She got me excited at times, like when she was fighting the likes of Boro, but overall she was disappointing. Thankfully, Mikio Ikemoto and Masashi Kishimoto did a noticeably good job of fixing her character's major flaws in the Two Blue Vortex series. So far in the first 34 chapters she has received a lot of attention, which makes me and all other Sarada fans happy.

Itachi Sasuke successor Sarada Boruto

Chapter 34 of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex surprisingly goes one step further, confirming Sarada Uchiha as the official successor to Sasuke and Itachi Uchiha. Above all, it is confirmed that Sarada is just like her father in that she always faces impossible odds. Sasuke's entire character arc has seen him face numerous adversities on his own, even when the threat is too great for him to handle. He always pushed himself beyond his limits, and that's why he's as strong as he is today. In fact, Sasuke's entire character arc can be perfectly summed up in the phrase “fighting against adversity.” Sakura Haruno officially confirmed in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter #34 that her daughter is exactly like Sasuke in that sense. This in itself is a gift for any salad fan.

“You are just like your father. No matter how great the personal damage is, you always fight for the big things.” — Sakura Haruno, Boruto: Two Blue Whirlpools Chapter #34

Even Naruto's strongest characters can't compete with Boruto's level. They will be defeated by him in an instant.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter #34 also linked her directly to Itachi Uchiha. In the case of Itachi, the biggest character trait that has amazed all of us readers over the years has been his ability to self-sacrifice even when ridiculed. Itachi made great sacrifices at personal cost for Konoha and remained true to his ideals no matter how humiliating he was. Sarada Uchiha is similar. Despite Boruto being a criminal hated by people all over the world, Sarada will continue to sacrifice her life to protect him. That's what makes her similar to Itachi. Haruno Sakura once again confirms that Sarada is just like Itachi in that sense and establishes the official fact that she is their true heir.

“No matter what kind of shame they bring to you, always move forward. Just like your father’s brother.” — Haruno Sakura, Boruto: Two Blue Whirlpools Episode 34

Why Sarada's determination as a ninja makes her the perfect future Uchiha leader

Sarada Perfect Future Uchiha Leader Boruto

boruto Fans around the world are overjoyed to see Sarada get as much attention as she got in the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga series, but her character is still nowhere near complete. Sarada will get her own great character moments in the new arc, which officially begins on May 20, 2026. Now it's been confirmed that Code will target Sarada next, and with Hidari even lurking as the next main villain, Sarada will play a pivotal role as a potential protagonist of the series' next arc. Doing so will further develop her character, and that's something I'd really like to see.

“I won’t tell you to stop. It’s the strength you created when you thought you needed strength to do and keep what you want.” — Sakura Haruno to Sarada Uchiha, Boruto: The Two Blue Whirlpools Chapter #34

Having watched Naruto for decades and witnessed the two contrasting personalities of Sasuke and Itachi, I have come to the conclusion that Sarada is the best combination of the two. Sarada has Itachi's humility and sacrificial spirit, but also Sasuke's confidence and stubbornness. Combining these two characters and the fact that Sarada doesn't suffer the Curse of Hatred makes her, in my eyes, the perfect Uchiha Clan Leader like we've never seen before from this clan. The Uchiha Clan is a shell of its former self, and Sarada is the one who can achieve its true glory in the future.

Uchiha Sarada surpasses Itachi Sasuke Boruto

Currently, Uchiha Sarada can already be said to be one of the strongest ninjas in the world. Boruto: Two Blue Swirls. With the power of her Mangekyou Sharingan ability called Ohirume, she can create four black holes with immense gravity that can crush even the likes of Otsutsuki and Shinju with surprising ease. But she hasn't quite reached her potential yet. It looks like Sarada's powers will continue to grow, and in Chapter 34 of the manga, writer Mikio Ikemoto officially sets out a major power-up for Sarada.

In this chapter, Sarada is confirmed to be blind, so we must soon find a cure for her. This could lead her to a whole new level of power, and by achieving this new power, she will officially surpass her father Sasuke Uchiha and uncle Itachi Uchiha, and in the process become the greatest Uchiha of all time.

“This is the danger of the Mangekyou Sharingan. The more you use it, the worse your eyesight becomes. There may be some differences depending on the nature of the jutsu or the situation in which it is used, but if you continue to use it, you will eventually become completely blind.” — Sakura Haruno to Sarada Uchiha, Boruto: The Two Blue Whirlpools Chapter #34

Watching her grow over the past ten years of the Boruto serial has been a wonderful experience for all of us, and I'm glad that Masashi Kishimoto and Mikio Ikemoto are treating her character with the care she deserves. The upcoming arc will define Sarada's character, and Boruto fans will be looking forward to when Kishimoto and Ikemoto provide more explanation about her character. Especially now that she has been confirmed as Itachi and Sasuke's heir.

The latest manga chapter of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex written by Mikio Ikemoto and Masashi Kishimoto is available to read through MANGA Plus and Viz Media.
