Trusted Insider Predicts At Least One Fallout Remastered In 2027

At this point, Jez Corden is a household name. At least, if your household includes at least one gaming enthusiast who remotely stays up to date with industry news. He certainly has connections in high places, so it's usually worth noting when he talks about anticipation for upcoming game announcements and release dates.

Today, Corden claimed that we could see at least one Fallout remaster in 2027. Plus, The Elder Scrolls is still a few years away. By the way, what year is it? At this point you are probably cheerfully I was shocked by his thoughts on that score.

Honestly, I can imagine worse.

About two hours into the latest episode of the Xbox Two Podcast, co-hosts Rand al Thor 19 (sadly probably not the real Rand al'Thor) and Jez Corden chatted about what's ahead at Bethesda Game Studios. Corden says he's heard a few stories, with the disclaimer that he's not sure how true this is.

“I've heard that. I don't know how true this is, but one thing I've heard is [the] A Fallout remaster may be a little further away than people think, and Elder Scrolls 6 is still pretty far away. I think getting some of these games out sooner is probably the most important thing for them.” – Jez Corden

Taken on its own, this is half speculation and half leak. Because Corden isn't sure if the whispers he orchestrated are accurate here. But after a while, things got a little more interesting.

Rand says he doesn't expect the rumored Fallout remake to come out until next year “at the earliest.” In his answer, Corden pins down probability-based dates as well as The Elder Scrolls 6.

“Yeah, that’s what I think. There could be a Fallout remake in 2027, or at least one of them, or the year after that or the year after that. [Elder Scrolls 6].”

A Fallout 3 remake in 2027 sounds like fun enough to me. Of course, the biggest bombshell is TES 6. If Corden's calculations here are accurate, would the release date for the first mainline item since Skyrim in 2011 be 2028-29? At this point I have to admit that it doesn't really sound right. that I don't like it anymore. 2-3 years from now is the best time I could ever hope for. The internet is full of gloomy fan expectations for 2031 or so. So I'll take what I can get.

Bloodborne has been quietly coming into its own. I'll keep her single for over 10 years.

All good things must come to an end.
