Collector Leviathan is a gigantic giant squid that stalks the trenches beyond the hot waters east of the Lifepod.

Use the tadpole pen signal as a guide to reach the right area. It is located approximately 700 meters east of Lifepod. The building where the Tadpole Fence survey was conducted overlooks the trench. Our first encounter occurred during our first visit to this place.

Tadpoles provide some protection, but the goal here should be avoidance and escape. Once the Collector Leviathan gets his hands on a tadpole, he can destroy it with very little effort. If it touches you while you are outside your vehicle, it will cause death.

The water near Collector Leviathan is very hot, so you'll need to unlock the Heat Resistance Adaptation on a damaged Angel Comb.
Due to the speed required to avoid Collector Leviathan, it is recommended to wait until you have acquired the Tadpole before approaching the Collector Leviathan Giant Squid.
Where to find Collector Leviathan in Subnautica 2
Head to the warm seas:
To find Collector Leviathan, you'll need to head to the Graveyard area, where the water is heated via underwater thermal vents. This is an area rich in salt and sulfur.
When you reach the end Subnautica 2In the early sections of , you will receive a mission from NOA to guide you to the area. When you receive the notice examining tadpole penYou will find that the time has come to head east.

If you've already unlocked the mission but haven't visited it yet, you'll notice that the Tadpole Pen is about 700 meters away from the Lifepod. When you see the signal, you'll know you can head straight east. If you have tadpoles, the trip won't take too long.
As you move further east, you can see the water starting to take on an orange, cloudy appearance. You'll also see a temperature reading appear above the center of the screen, warning you of danger. This is where you should have it heat resistance adaptation.
When you approach the Tadpole Fence building, you will be approximately 150 meters below the water's surface. If you don't have a tadpole, here you start to understand why you need one. Without a rebreather, oxygen efficiency begins to decline below 100 m. This causes oxygen to be consumed much faster.

Once you reach the Tadpole Pens, your goal is to cross the chasm and reach the Alien Ruins. I'm not saying this is impossible without tadpoles, but it seems like an incredibly unnecessary challenge.
Before you do anything, see if you can spot the Collector Leviathan.
With Tadpole, you'll want to immediately jump off the cliff and lower your vehicle down to the lowest level of the ocean floor.
Avoid crushing depth by staying as close to the bottom of the gap as possible. If you go too low, you will be warned in plenty of time. Go up slowly and stay at the lowest possible level.
Very quickly you will reach the opposite wall. Go up and you will see the Alien Ruins.

- Answer: No! You absolutely cannot. I can't stop. The only goal is to kill you, so your only option is to dodge. When a squid wraps its tentacles around you, there seems to be no way to escape.
There doesn't seem to be any treasure or hidden items to find like in Great Jaw Clam Leviathan. The only treasure you can find here is to make it to the other side alive.
