crimson desert is a game full of all kinds of armor pieces, weapons, consumables, and key items that you can easily miss if you don't want to explore. Some of these aren't worth the effort, but the Kuku pack is one of the best pieces of gear in the game and can greatly improve your quality of life.
One of them is the Kuku Watcher pack, which summons two invincible drones that continuously deal damage to enemies during combat. Perfect for fighting multiple waves of enemies or dealing massive damage to bosses, the Kuku Watcher pack is a must-have in my opinion. Here's everything you need to know about purchasing the Kuku Watcher pack to have your own personal army.
Kuku Watcher Pack Blueprint Locations
Cuckoo Pack Creation
The first thing you need to do when purchasing a Kuku Watcher pack is to craft the Kuku pack. To unlock this, first obtain the “Witch of Wisdom” quest and then Purify the Sanctuary of Repentance. This location can be found southeast of the main city of Hernand and northwest of the Willow River.
As with all other shrines, you must kill all cultists guarding the area until the percentage bar reaches 0. Then find the reactor core and place it in the machine. Doing so will power up the machine and trigger a cutscene with the witch, giving you the blueprint for the Cuckoo Pack.
Now head to Kilnden Workshop, west of Hernand's city, and talk to Grimnir to create a Kuku Pack.

Unlock the Friendly Witch quest
Once you have the Kuku Pack in your inventory, you can find the Kuku Watcher Pack Blueprint. To get started, you'll first need to unlock “The Witch of Kindness” quest in Pailune. In this northern region, head to the mountains southeast of Wayward Woods to find a small tent with a frozen, dying woman inside.
Approach the woman and find the small brazier next to her and light it. Then she will approach the fire, warm up, and thank you for saving her life. To your surprise, this woman will reveal herself to be a witch and invite you to her home. This place is marked on the map and is just north of your current location.
When you arrive at her house, talk to Bari and listen to her request to unlock the 'Witch of Kindness' faction quest. Doing so will allow the cultists to invade all sanctuaries across Pailune, allowing you to make further progress in obtaining the Kuku Watcher pack.
Cleanse the Sanctuary of Atonement
After receiving the quest from Bari, head to the Sanctuary of Atonement. You can find it on the map just west of the Hunated Hills and north of A in Hernand. When you arrive, eliminate all cultists wandering around the area until the percentage bar in the top left corner of the screen reaches 0. There are no hidden bosses, and the only enemies you really have to worry about are flying wizards who can be killed with a few arrows.
Once the cultist is dead, you must find all missing parts of the reactor core and pillar. Go to the northern end of the sanctuary and find a side room with two small doors inside the main room. Go through the door and look up to find a piece of pillar floating overhead near the ceiling.
Go back out the door and cross the main chamber to another small rectangular door directly across from where the pillar was just. This will be a little more obscured by plants, so use the photo above if you're having trouble finding it. Like the pillar section, this tower has the necessary reactor cores floating above it.
Take them both out and place them in the machine to purify the sanctuary. This will trigger a cutscene where Bari thanks you for your help and rewards you with a Kuku Watcher Pack blueprint.
Before leaving, light the two torches along with the iron rod on the right side of the room. Igniting both will lower the bar in that room and give you access to a chest containing a Refined Falmer Pill and a Knight's Mirror Shield!
Kuku Watcher Pack Material Locations
Abyss Cell 0 Location
As for materials, you'll need quite a few, so let's start with the most readily available. Abyss Cell 0 is a large, spherical Abyss Core that can be found when destroyed using the Focus Force Palm on certain materials. There are plenty of places to find them throughout the region.
If you need to, you can find three Abyss Cell 0 north of the River Den in northern Demenis. Head to Hollow Haven, then a little southeast of this location. Look for a small rock face with a wall of bismuth ore. Approach the wall and use the Focused Force Palm to destroy the three cores that go through the wall.
This will cause the wall to collapse, allowing you to grab Abyss Cell 0 and seal it in the Kuku Pot.
clockwork insect
The next resource on our list is 300 Clockwork Insects. Thankfully, this is a lot less boring than you might think. This is because you can actually collect these insects with just the Kuku pack we crafted earlier. Head southeast to the Delesyia region and look for large swarms of Clockwork Dragonflies and Clockwork Ants.
They move in large numbers throughout the region, but the image above shows some good spots for viewing, circled. If you haven't progressed beyond Chapter 10 of the main quest, the best location is around the Peace Gate, northeast of Delethia. Basically a swarm of clockwork dragonflies are attacking the soldiers along the bridge, so run up to them and equip the Cuckoo Pack.
Press both triggers simultaneously to open the pack and start cleaning up all the bugs around you. You can easily get dozens of them in a matter of seconds, and Clockwork Dragonfly Swarms will continue to respawn even after a few seconds. This will make it much easier to get 300 in the Kuku Watcher pack.
Once your Kuku pack is activated, you can track the number of bugs in the top right corner of your screen.
electrical components
For electrical parts, you'll want to head just north of Mount Benus along the main road to Blue Thicket. On this path leading to the large island to the east, you'll encounter several large mechanical golems equipped with drills and chainsaws. These are fairly powerful enemies that can inflict quite a bit of damage, so focus on defeating them using your most powerful skills, such as Explosive Arrow or Turning Slash.
When a golem is destroyed, it has a chance to drop an electrical component where it dies. This is a large mechanical part that sparks with electricity, similar to a motor. Catch it with the Axiom Force, then select the “Seal” option to store it in the Cuckoo Pot.
This is the only way to get the Electric Components, so keep killing these large golems until you have sealed the three needed to craft the Kuku Watcher Pack.
small battery
The last material needed is 200 Small Batteries, which again can only be found in the Delesia region. Small batteries can drop from various enemies such as small robots or golems. Two places I recommend farming these enemies for small batteries are around the Marni Mechworks and Marni's Matserium. (circled above).
Unless you completely clear the area, an infinite number of patrol robots will spawn. Play on one of the roads near this fort and kill them whenever they appear. Robots will likely drop small batteries when killed, which can be collected by picking them up manually or having your pet collect them.
Unlike electrical components or clockwork bugs, it takes some time to collect 200 batteries. It is best collected passively when liberating different locations or completing faction quests in the area. Once you have gathered all the necessary materials, return to the Kilnden Workshop and speak with Grimnir. Bring up the crafting menu and select the Kuku Watcher pack to craft it.
Now you can equip it and deploy your new drone friend to help you in battle whenever you need it!
